BoinxTV
Sep 17 2009

MACMAXPR  The requested BoinxTV slogan/logo is for an outro not the intro of your videos. It will go on the very end. Just like iWeb websites or iDVD videos might have a Made on Mac or Apple logo on a corner. Apple does give you the option to take it out, but it is activated by default.

I actually love the application. I am currently using it for church services. I can stream live and record.. and present on church screens at the same time. A full production. We did have to spend quite a bit on hardware to accommodate the requirements. But I needed 4 video sources as a minimum so we AHD to get a brand new Mac Pro with the ATI card option.

Up to now it is working very well. Just wish it had more layers for a christian service type of situation. For example, lyrics with a database in a few languages, and bible verses in different translations. All of them available at the touch of a few keys and not having to depend on the web.

Also, a few "Layers" need more options. The one with the cross for example. I can even put an image in the actual cross, but I can't put my own image as a background to the whole scene.

Still, the only thing better than this (at a price) is the TriCaster. We will be upgrading to the full version though... just because we love it!

Reinstalled Handbrake and still get the problems, VLC is working fine.

MC_SHIZZEL  It's now working with 10.6.1 for the most part although sometimes it will still crash so I would have to convert a video file using another program into a different video format and then bring it into Handbrake to perform a final conversion and it would work.

JBJORET  Install the snapshot svn2829 version, there is a 64 Bits Snow Leopard build, it is 100 times better than the 1 year old 0.9.3. Not only it converts about 50% faster, but it has support for softsubtitles and x264 videofiles are about 30% smaller with the same quality.

CORPSECORPS  Tried the 64 bit snapshot and found the new UI changes nice. File dialogs are compatible with new Default Folder.

Had to delete prefs to get soundtracks on video files to appear in settings menus.

Swift Share

MACMAXPR  It looks awesome. SharePoints is another similar product (free) but has stayed behind and is not as easy and powerful as this one. The only thing I regret is that it was not available 2-3 years ago. I believe Leopard will finally fill the need/gap and this product won't be necessary anymore... unless you stay in Tiger or an older OSX. Too bad. Hope someone not moving to Leopard can use it.
