MACDOCMIKE Actually this is the BEST app out there for diagnosing font issues I've found since Font Reserve in OS9. The fact that it's free is just icing on the cake. Make sure to turn on Conflicts in the view menu and believe it or not... one font CAN crash your entire system. (regardless of what font-management app you use) This is the most quickly updated font-manager, with plug-ins for all major apps, and I have yet to have a conflict of any kind because of it (since the first 2 days of 10.5's release). Make sure to clean the application font caches and the system font folders (2 of the many handy things it does) once you've added your fonts, restart, and you should be almost there. Next step, activate all of your 'A' fonts and check the conflicts section for duplicate activated fonts. Delete the dup's and you should be all set (after repeating through 'Z'.). I've managed hundred's of clients with more than 10,000 faces each and this is the ONLY app that handles them all consistently and reliably. |
