MAC_XCODER My God this application has went down hill fast. Toast 7 was great, now Toast 8 brings my system to a screeching halt! I have a 20" iMac Core Duo with 2GB RAM and the 256MB video card (biggest one) and it slows EVERYTHING down. It is a shame that I am a member of your affiliate program and will not recommend this program to people that I will make money off of. Get rid of the animations or whatever is slowing everything on my system down. (Version 8.0)

OSCAR74 Why don't you just turn off the enhanced window animations, save yourself a ton of CPU cycles (like I did on my iMac Core Duo), and quit whining? (Version 8.0.1)

Toast Titanium | May 6 2007 |
VERYCARLA Ah yes, and they make it SO obvious that you can turn off the animations, don't they? What's the point of them in the first place? They're USELESS tat. And turning them off doesn't kill that annoying shrinking/expanding window thing. Complaining about something isn't whining. Complaining about someone else airing a legitimate grievance is whining. MAC_XCODER Excellent application! Extremely useful. Just one suggestion that would make it even better... have a COPY button so the user can copy the selected note to paste into another appication such as Pages or Word.

MAC_XCODER There is currently a 3.0 Beta version, but it is only availble to people that are donating to the developer. He is WORKING HARD on getting a final release out!!! However he has another job and just develops this application on the side, for FREE!!! If you want the 3.0 BETA version (Universal Binary) go to www.ripdifferent.com and check out the Forums.

MAC_XCODER Virion, you now have a streamlined "button" version of my program available and it's UB, so it will open up for you on the first bounce. And I'm gonna go ahead and put it out there... I'm working on a widget for this app, so get your photocopiers ready! lol Didn't mean to copy you Apple! hahahahaha

MAC_XCODER This application is so small and it only runs for a split second, just long enough to run a small AppleScript, so QuickTime will go full screen. I could have rewritten mine to be Universal, but it's really not necessary. You will just end up with a larger file that runs for a split second to run that script. (Version 1.1)

MAC_XCODER Wow, this app is almost EXACTLY like mine, QuikTime FS, which has been available for a long time. Great idea, only about a year late. Hope you weren't trying to copy me on purpose. http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/16959 (Version 1.1)

Actually, this app is 16k smaller than Quicktime FS and on a MBP, though they both launch quick, being universal it actually does launch faster, on the first bounce instead of after three. Your app is nice and compact/tidy, but being Universal is good, even for small programs that run for a second. That being said, I'd like to see a streamlined, smaller window option, so once you kow what to do you can reduce it to a litle bar or even just one button you can put in the corner. CHRIS_BROOKENS I am the aurthor if this program (this is my non developer account. I just checked these comments, but I dont like to because I think it is bad karma. But yes, I coul make it a 2 button app a lot smaller. I will release a liter version of Fullscreen4Free, what is a good name for it? ("Fullscreen4Free Lite" sounds dumb to me). This was my 1st commercially released app, and my only completed program lol. I am also making a video game called Destruction: Hellz Wrath check it out at http://www.hellzwrath.tk and download it. And Mr. Mac_Xcoder, I sense a certan tention between you and I, no hard feelings, but my app pizzowns yurs ;) P.S. also look at my WoW (World of Warcraft for those of you who have a life) widget. It's called WoWidgets4Free, it searches quests and items. (Version 1.2)

LARSABRASHA If you have Quicksilver installed you can bind a shortcut to an applescript. I use Command+F to invoke the fullscreen mode script. You can find the script at http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/mac911/2005/08/fullscreen/index.php. It works great! Look at the pictures below to see exactly what I've done. http://static.flickr.com/102/300771862_9d988a7610_o.png http://static.flickr.com/113/300771864_979e3dfe65_o.png (Version 1.2)

MAC_XCODER So far so good with this app, very nice interface. The webcam appears to be a little slower though. Does anyone know how to change the message view so it doesn't look like bubbles? I like the view where it shows the username: message text. (Version 3.0b1)

MAC_XCODER If the movie is black try refreshing your browser, that is just one of Apple's new commercials. Perhaps you don't have the QuickTime Plugin installed? The archive/install tips on the two pages on my site is all I have to offer because that is all it takes to fix your machine. -If you're an experienced Mac user then you may have already figured it out. -BUT for the novice and beginner users the instructions will help fix their machine if it is crippled like mine was. UMAROMC Thanks, the help's always appreciated. I booted my system with Drive 10 1.1.5 instead of Apple's Tiger disc and, after hours and hours and hours, it returned an Error -90 and repaired... for hours and hours (nearly took 2 days!). Finally, it was done, I rebooted, ran Disk Utility and Repaired Permissions in my admin/501 account and root to no avail. I'm going to attempt using Apple's boot disc to see if anything else can be done before attempting an archive and install... I hate having to do Archive & Installs... but it's better than an entire reinstall... or waiting for another Security Update :p Thanks again... (Version 2006-003)

MAC_XCODER Ok here's how you NEED to install this update. 1. Boot up from your Install DVD 1 2. Run Disk Utility. Once in Disk Utility REPAIR THE DRIVE.

MAC_XCODER If he got lucky with the knife edge or whatever b.s. you want to put out there then I did two. I am an experienced software developer and maintain a Macintosh Support Website. Thank God I know what I'm doing and I feel pity for those that don't. Here's how to fix your problem... I booted up from the install DVD and... If you are experienced with the Intel Macs I'm sure you know that DW and the other 3rd party software wouldn't quite be recommended. So before you go blasting someone make sure you have your facts straight. Apple did indeed release a shitty update this time. DO NOT INSTALL IT IF YOU'RE ON AN INTEL MACHINE!!! Now a word of advice to the original poster... If you do an archive and install you don't lose any data that had been previously saved. It's all still there my friend. (Version 2006-003)
