BUMBLEB I feel exactly the same way. It seems rather weird that Apple comes out with such an incremental update. Is it the absense of Steve showing? I know Final Cut Pro has many supporters, and it is fast and efficient to use, but the interface is totally nonstandard, the icons and buttons make little sense from a usability point of view. I'm currently learning Final Cut Pro, and find it 10x more difficult than learning Premiere Pro a few years back. I always have to search for various functionality to the point where it becomes extremely frustrating.

ESPIRIT For me this is superior to Leopard's built-in VNC client simply because I have machines that cannot run Leopard. For example, I am typing this review out on a 500MHz Pismo from around 2000 which I have setup with Tiger, and it still runs beautifully. For computers such as this, JollysFastVNC is without a doubt the best free option available. Its lightweight and efficient enough to even be run on a machine as old as this one. On my Leopard boxes I do use the built-in VNC client, but for all of my G3s and G4s running Tiger, this is the way to go.

GORDON BELL If you deleted the files, then yes, OS X will delete the naming structure that goes along with those files, at the time of the deletion (it's just how OS X works..) If the drive had become corrupted, then the files and their names are still intact and we can get names back, folder hierarchy back, etc... I'm not sure what you mean by Mbox are unusable.. Not everyone is willing to use Camino with the omnipresent cursor bug. For these people Omniweb is a viable alternative Browser. For a moderate price it offers a lot. MUNNYMAC I'm running into the same problem as Mac Adam. Streamclip 1.9.2 doesn't work on PPC running Leopard when extracting VOB files... AT ALL. Very frustrating, especially after paying for the mpeg 2 download for quicktime. Any help out there?

ODDYSSEEY I don't know exactly what you mean, but you can reset to the translucent menu bar by clicking on the "Revert" button in OpaqueMenuBar's window.

MAC ADAM Export cannot save Custom Presets, need every time to re configure for each export !! Cannot have mismatch Display/ Export, or video is LetterBox or Tronqued !! If Export is DVD 16:9 and wanna use better codec than DV, exporter do not correctly strech video to 16:9 so have again LetterBox or Tronqued… FotoMagico could be so easy, but the export is so Hardly Difficult to made exactly what we want, it loose all interest to me.

VERYCARLA I think what he's talking about is a torrent which appears to be legitimate but which when downloaded contains dummy files which are "empty" but which appear to contain data. Like an uncompressed 5gb DMG that isn't actually a DMG file, but a renamed text file full of ones and zeros or a core dump or something like that. Honestly, I don't know how you'd test for that from the user's end.

PEHPSI.3 I know what you mean, and the answer is 'No'. Transmission's job is to download the files you choose, not tell you if they're fake or not. A few ways to make sure files are real: -Read user comments about the file. -Download from trusted source. -Check file lists for dodgy looking formats. -Have an idea of what the file size should be for the particular torrent you want. If it looks fake, then it probably is fake. Best way is to read others' comments on the file.
