MABOROSHI Thanks Jimster. I changed that one and another realm login ip and was able to get it to work. I successfully made a blood elf character and could play the game normally, but when I made an undead character and tried to play, the game would lock up when trying to enter the world. I went into the sql database and changed the undead character's start position to the same as the blood elf's and then it logged in fine. But I guess thats something wrong with the sql database preset. Anyway, thanks for the help with the other issue! (Version v2.12b)

MABOROSHI Hurrah! An update! But shouldn't you guys drop the PPC platform? If this requires 10.6+ its gonna be Intel only isn't it? (Version 1.0b56a7)

MABOROSHI I gotta say I'm having a very tough time trying to run this server on a mac while trying to connect to it from another on the same lan. I've tried changing several of the 127.0.0.1 addresses to 192.168.1.2 (the mac running the server), but every time I try to log into the world, it hangs. Any advice? (Version v2.12b)

JIMSTER I believe there is only ONE place you need to change to have ArceMux accept connections from places other than localhost (127.0.0.1). And that's in realms file in the "Realm1" block. And only one place there. All the other localhost (127.0.0.1) are used for the application to communicate to the database servers (which are running on the localhost in the default configuration). So if you have been changing other IPs, it's likely you broke something and you probably will see errors in the startup windows. (Version v2.12b)

MABOROSHI I don't know why I didn't think of trying this before, but apparently you can just set up MAMP to use your default web and mysql servers. Heres how: http://scriptplayground.com/tutorials/mysql/Configuring-MAMP-on-OS-X-to-use-default-settings/ (Version 1.0b)

MABOROSHI Is there any way to not use MAMP and use the built-in Apache server with MySQL instead? I already have my system set up and its a pain to have to turn that all off just to use MAMP. (Version 1.0b)

WOODEN BRAIN CONCEPTS Thanks, I just went there myself, and got the update, but it still says it can't be used on this computer. A bit baffled because even older screen savers, including the old version of Electric Sheep, work as-is on my intel laptop also running 10.6.1. But this is not specific to Electric Sheep -- same story also with other supposedly SL compatible screen savers, such as Euphoria 10.2. Since this is OT, if anyone else is having general issues (or better yet, knows the solution), try looking at this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10210603#10210603 (Version 2.7b15a)

MABOROSHI In previous versions I used to be able to drop a cbr file right onto a playlist and it would import it and then add that to that playlist. Sometimes the files I'm dragging over have already been imported, but it would still be nice to be able to manually drop the files into the playlist, as I have my comics sorted by story on DVDs, and it would be infinitely easier to just drop that folder in there. MISHA I'd bet the developer is French, despite showing the english versions of the app... tampon=buffer in French, so not quite as bizarre. (Version 1.3.8)

TOM.25 Yes, you won, I'm French :-) , and proud least for 2 years but this is another problem. I should have done a screencapture with my home folder but I forgot to change from my tests folders. (Version 1.3.8)

iTunesShut | May 20 2009 |
MABOROSHI Really like this! Especially with the remote function. One small thing that bothers me sometimes is that it auto-launches itunes when you open it. I sometimes use this just to sleep/shutdown my mac while I have pandora or last.fm streaming, and I'm not actually using itunes. It would be nice to have an option in the preferences to turn off auto-launch for itunes. Otherwise, great work! (Version 4.9)

GreaseKit | May 15 2009 |
MABOROSHI This really is a useful plugin for Safari and functions almost as well as greasemonkey for Firefox. For those of you having trouble installing this (especially on Leopard systems) here are some tips that I've come across: First and foremost, don't use SIMBL. SIMBL and Leopard don't play together very well. Instead scrap all things SIMBL from your system and install Plugsuit (http://infinite-labs.net/plugsuit/) which gives you a snazzy preference pane to manage all those plugins. Use that to install greasekit, safaristand... etc. Everything should be ready to go. For greasekit/greasemonkey scripts head over to http://userscripts.org/

PandoraBoy | May 13 2009 |
MABOROSHI Really like this but one thing has been bothering me. And that one thing is that no matter what you set in the preferences, PandoraBoy always changes the volume when you use the mac remote. This is really annoying because when I push volume up or down, both the system volume AND PandoraBoy's volume change, usually making it either way too loud or dead quiet. (Version 0.7)

MABOROSHI Crashes when double-clicking to launch, (which, by the way is extremely difficult to do because the icon must not have a proper mask layer making it transparent to clicks. The only way to open it it by clicking on the name) Here is what my crash reporter says: Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/ScriptingBridge.framework/Versions/A/ScriptingBridge Referenced from: /Volumes/Tone-Foo v1.1/Tone-Foo.app/Contents/MacOS/Tone-Foo Reason: image not found (Version 1.1)

CPMAX Thanks for your comment. I am unable to reproduce this issue, however. If anyone else is having this or other issues please post a comment here. Thank you. (Version 1.1)

MABOROSHI I should note that the icon clicks fine off of the dmg file but when copying to the desktop it gets the clicking issue. I should note that that was tested on a G5 mac in 10.4.9. It actually ran fine when I tried on my intel machine with 10.5.5. (Version 1.1)

CPMAX I'm not surprised considering the requirements, as stated above, are Mac OS X 10.5. Well, now that you have it running I hope you write a glowing review :) (Version 1.1)

Tone-Foo | Dec 16 2008 |
CPMAX PATRIZIAF, Sorry to hear you are having issues with downloading. It seems to be working for me and others. It's important that Macupdate manages the downloads so I can track them. I'm sorry I can't be more help. (Version 1.1)

Tone-Foo | Dec 16 2008 |
PATRIZIAF I discovered the reason: Intego Net Barrier > Concealing information > conceal information about last visited site (my translations...). When this function is activated, I can't download your app, when I disable it I can. I repeat that I have no problems with downloading other apps (from macupdate or others... of course I didn't try all the apps...). It must be your tracking...

MABOROSHI Really love the work that's gone into mangosx. One thing that would REALLY like to do however, is ditch mamp and use my built-in mysql database for the server, since I'm already using it for everything else on my server machine.\ I've googled around but couldn't seem to find anything documented on how to do this. Any ideas would be appreciated. (Version 4.0b)
