Why on earth would you disable hiding the installer (command-h) on OS X? Apple's installer (and software update utility) support hiding which allows you to continue work in another program without having the installer potentially in the way - courtesy of OS X's famously protected memory architecture. "VISE X installers now disable the "Hide" menu item, and do not support use of Command+H." |

As long as Yahoo simply refuses to offer Mac compatibility for the majority of it's services, and the very few that do have any sort of Mac support suffer from being crippled, outdated versions compared to Yahoo's constantly updated glorious versions for Microsoft Windows, as a Mac user I just don't see the reason to support Yahoo. The only reason the Yahoo widget engine has Mac support isn't due to Yahoo, it's due to the fact that Konfabulator was originally developed for the Mac. If that wasn't the case, we wouldn't even see this software on MacUpdate. Just take your Windows only/Internet Explorer only stuff and please go away. |

I hate to rain on the Adium love parade, but unfortunately, Adium presently lacks one essential feature: webcam video/audio support. If your needs only amount to text chat and file transfers, then this is probably great software in it's one-client-rules-them-all implementation. But overseas, webcam-based chats absolutely rule the roost and also to a lesser extent here in the US. iChat is pretty good - if you have AOL or .Mac. But the rest of the world webcams merrily away on MSN and Yahoo. The Mac platform is in serious serious need of viable client that supports the predominant MSN and Yahoo networks in the same manner as the Windows counterparts. For potential switchers, it's a deal-breaker right now. "Adium does not currently have any Voice or Video (webcam) Chat functionality. The Adium team is aware that many users want to be able to audio/video chat." |

Agree with other reviews here, this is a great widget especially for someone like me who is a self-taught, mostly play-by-ear guitar player and part-time keyboard player/noodler It would be outstanding if this could have direct integration with Garageband, where the selected chord could be automatically written to a software instrument in Garageband at the playhead position. |

This is one of the best, if not the best, Klondike games I've come across. And it's free! It's fast, the opengl effects are smooth, and plenty of options to set up the game's appearance the way you want. For example, if some of the various effects seem too much, just turn them off. (I did) And No built-in restrictions or limitations, just play away. For basic Klondike, I never found anything all that great for the Mac. This software is just unbeatable. The only suggestion I would have to improve upon it is an option to display a dialog when you run out of playable cards to win the game, instead of having to figure that out the old-fashioned way. |

Finally, an OS X application that actually scrolls properly. (And I don't mean just graphic applications in OS X, I mean ANY application, including the Finder. Try scrolling using the arrow buttons on a window and get ready to cringe. It's always been bad.) Whoever wrote this app should be working for Apple. I'm thinking...Vice President of Scrolling Technologies. God knows they need one. |

My suggestion would be to integrate a standard calendar view in iCal events so that there wouldn't be a need to have 2 separate widgets (a calendar widget AND iCal events). When Tiger was first demoed, it looked like that was the direction Apple's calendar widget was going to take, but it looks like Apple bailed on the idea, especially after the seeing the current 10.4.4 widget. |
