LOCUTISOFBORED  You'd think they would have gone with a fuel efficient V4 engine or even a V6 in this day and age. I admire the gumption of Google to go with a V8 engine!

PETER DA SILVA  Yah, I'm a little disturbed by the people coming out with Leopard-only software less than a week after the release of the OS.

I thought Linux developers were bad about portability (it works on Red Hat 7 *and* RHEL 4!), but this is just silly.

PETER DA SILVA  Like I said, I thought Linux developers were bad about portability.

Retaining compatibility with multiple versions of the same operating system is not a hard job. I've written software for 64-bit Alphas running Tru64... based on the last release of 4.3BSD before the 4.4 one that OS X is based on... that compiles and runs without change on 16-bit segmented pre-TCP/IP pre-BSD Microsoft Xenix, and I've got software I wrote 25 years ago for 6th and 7th Edition UNIX that compiles and runs without change on Tiger. I've written software that I've ported with *minor* changes to VAX/VMS, UNIX, AmigaDOS, MS-DOS, and CP/M-80.

Portability between two subsequent releases of the same operating system should be expected, not something that you blow off with "you can still download the no-longer-maintained old version".

LOCUTISOFBORED  Would you like to sit down at the computer inserting discs repeatedly while converting your 300 or so purchased songs? This program automates this process. A very useful program actually.

LOCUTISOFBORED  Kudos to you for making just the kind of app I need! One thing I would like to see is an option to drag the bar anywhere on the screen. As it is now, the top and bottom left side of my screen is usually covered with an open window. Otherwise an excellent program!

LOCUTISOFBORED  Can't update the programs with 11.3.7 until you update with 11.3.1, 11.3.2, 11.3.3, 11.3.4... you get the picture, right? Not the best way to go about updating a program...

LOCUTISOFBORED  No, most modern TV's have less buttons (or none!) on them than the remote control. So if you loose the remote control, you're kind of screwed for watching TV. Of course, I have no idea what this has to do with the price of peas in China...

LOCUTISOFBORED  Some of these screen savers are incredible, but there is one that I'd like to be able to delete or at least disable. Unfortunately it looks as if there is no way to delete any of the 10 screensavers. Guess it's either all or none? Still some amazing screen savers in this set.

LOCUTISOFBORED  At first I though, do I really need a talking alligator? Was I in the market for one? Well the answer is still no to both questions, but I love the random sentences! Reminds me of when I was younger and making up nonsensical stories just for fun. Bloody genius I say!

ALAN  No doubt, everyone knows about privileges of the RETURN key. However, LazyMouse is doing this 'task' for you, so that you don't have to move your hand away from the mouse; one can be too lazy to do so.
