LIN.WEN  Since I downloaded AppZapper, I'm trying out so many more apps than I would have. After reading the review about the annoying nag messages from one of the reviewers here on MU, I thought, "Hmm.. how annoying can it be?"

It is annoying. It seemed like each action I took to try the features of this app triggered a "WARNING - YOU NEED TO REGISTER THIS APPLICATION"

Who knows, it might be useful. However, I'm a Mac user. I'm unwilling to pay for a non-sexy app.

LIN.WEN  I've seen a lot of buzz about AppZapper and have tried it. It seems simple and of course looks great.

I was wondering about the Spotlight-as-challenger issue as well.

I like to do my own research, so I'll follow up with that. In the meantime, I found somebody who blogged what he found when testing AppZapper about Spotlight.
