LARRYS02 For the larger world out there, is it possible to keep both Real Player 10 and 11 and somehow tie in the BBC Radio Widget to Real Player 10? Or will it automatically link to the latest version? I like Real Player 11, but the fact that it affects the BBC Radio Widget the way it does is quite disappointing. Anybody out there who knows, post a comment please. (Version 11.0.1 build 949)

LARRYS02 Have OS X Leopard 10.5.2 Just updated my existing TTC to TTC 2.2.6, and the software hangs on opening the program. The controller opens up blank. No response, nothing. Tried to reboot, still the same problem. iTunes opens up fine, but the controller does not. Help! (Version 2.2.6)

LARRYS02 Just downloaded the latest version of Google Earth. I have Leopard version 10.5.2 on an iMac with an Intel Core Duo 2 processor. Everytime I try to zoom into a location or use the controls, the program crashes. It will be useless unless someone from Google can explain what to do. (Version 4.3.7191.6508 )

PHOENIX1701 The first thing I'd do is try nuking your disk cache. Once Earth is logged in, choose File > Server Log Out. Then go into Preferences, then click the Cache tab and click the "Delete cache file" button. Then log back in using File > Server Login. If the crash persists, try reducing the size of the memory and disk caches a bit -- I run at 500 and 2000 MB, respectively, and that works fine for me. If none of that works, consider posting to http://groups.google.com/group/earth-help with the problem; it's possible you'll find someone who's had the same problem before and fixed it. Good luck! LARRYS02 Very good, you have solved my problem. Thank you. I think I know how this works now, and hopefully it will work out. (Version 2.0b7)

LARRYS02 Alright, I have downloaded and tried Version 2.0b7, and there now appears to be this problem: when iTunes opens, the TotalTunes panel disappears and I cannot make it reappear. I can quit the app fine now, and it does appear in the Dock as described, but something else is wrong (and yes, I quit the program without closing the window first this time, and I am using the default shortcut for toggling the window). It may help for you to know that I am using an iMac with a Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Would that make a difference? (Version 2.0b7)

EAGLELOUK Maybe you should launch it with the terminal : Right click on TotalTunes Control, choose "show package content" and navigate to "Content/MacOS/" and open the executable "TotalTunes Control" Then, tell me what the terminal says. However you can toggle show the window with a right click on the icon from the Dock or just click on the icon and go to the "controller" menu (Version 2.0b7)

EAGLELOUK Note that the controller is automatically hidden when you go to other applications (it must be as discreet as possible) (Version 2.0b7)

LARRYS02 Thanks for your reply. For someone who is trying out your software, you assume too much knowledge on the part of the user. It is an odd thing to quit an application from a "Preferences panel." Why you choose this path, which is a path of greater resistance for the user, is unclear. Nevertheless, I will try your remedy when I do this again. (Version 2.0b7)

The new beta automatically keep the icon on the dock and let you quit TotalTunes Control like an other app. I must think as a user and not a developer who knows everything about his application :) (Version 2.0b7)

LARRYS02 One final note: restarting your machine will solve the problem of trashing the app, if that is what you wish to do. But it seems to me that the bug is that you should be able to close the panel/window without any problems when you are through, instead of having to leave it up all the time. This is a bug I suggest the software maker should fix. Thanks, though, for this development. I've wanted an app like this for some time now. (Version 2.0b6)

the problem is that you chose to close the window and not to quit the application. So, it still running. When you first use it, you can see the shortcut preferences. And see that the default shortcut to toggle shown the window is "CTRL + CMD + S". It is not a problem if you haven't seen it (but the alert panel is here to say that you should take a look at the default shortcut to toggle shown the window before closing it for the first time !). However, if you paid attention, you'd be able to re-open the window and then quit the application from the preferences button. (Version 2.0b6)

EAGLELOUK However, because you're the second one that have difficulty for trashing the app, I will keep the icon in the Dock for default. Users will be able to hide it from the Dock if they want. (Version 2.0b6)

LARRYS02 An additional note: I tried restarting my computer to see if that would help solve the problem of not being able to reopen the app. I could reopen it after restarting, but when iTunes opens, the panel disappears and I can't get it to show back up (the being unable to trash the app problem still occurs). LARRYS02 An excellent app. Seems to work better for me than Front Row, because I can roam my playlists and do work at the same time, which is not something I can do with Front Row. (Version 2.0b6)
