Suitcase Fusion 2	Sep 8 2009	LARRY2 Not real sure why anyone would need any font program other that the one included with the OS. I myself never use ANY font manager other than my own system. FIRST: DO NOT change (add fonts) the Users/Library/Fonts folder. 2. Drag and drop any fonts (folder) you want to use to the Library/Fonts and you're ready to go. Fonts auto activate in the folder. 3.When you're finished remove the folder. I keep 400 fonts in my font folder permanent. I've been doing this since 10.1 no problems. I use Quarkxpress, and all CS4 programs for desktop publishing television magazines. P.S. I did try this program It was "O.K." I would use this IF I just had to have a font program. Firefox	Jun 21 2008	LARRY2 Not sure what all the negative fuss is about. I have used this all day today. Updated plug-ins, added search engines (http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=Mac&sherlock=yes&opensearch=yes&submitform=Search). Added all my favorite extensions and themes (some I needed to go to the developers site for betas) and still no problems. I am on MacBook Pro, 2gb memory, 10.5.3. I dislike Safari, although I admit it is SLIGHTLY faster, it is simply too simple. I like the ability to customize and us A LOT of different search engines for specific searches instead of all inclusive search. Just remember with any browser...clear you cache sometimes. Startrail	Oct 10 2007	LARRY2 Excellent on Macbook pro 1.8/2gb ram. Non-intrusive. I have no problem with the dispersion of the stars it lets me know exactly where my cursor is at any time. I especially like the color change. Hope this is ported to the upcoming 10.5 system. I wish there would be something else to happen on mouse clicks...that would be cool. (Version 1.5)		0

iDefrag	Jun 1 2007	LARRY2 Wonderful application in conjunction with Techtool ProtoGo. Loaded on a 2gb flash drive included iDefrag and now I have the best of both world since I don't care fro the optimizer in Techtool, it take far longer than iDefrag. If you don't have Techtool this program alone on a flash drive, with an OS of course, is well worth it. Does what it is written to do. (Version 1.6.1)		0

MenuMeters	Mar 16 2007	LARRY2 Simple Excellent. Completely replaces any number of singular apps. Like Disk Spy. Sadly I did'nt realize it could do so much until I saw it in my system preferences today and forgot it was running my memory meter which I can't do without...Then the light came on when I saw the disk monitor...away went disk spy. Get this if you don't have it. Stable on 10.4.9 update. IT'S FREE. (Version 1.3)		0

Parallels Desktop	Feb 23 2007	LARRY2 Well worth the money. So good I trashed my boot camp. This version with release candidate 3 is super fast, opens almost immediately. I am running XP and I haven't found a program yet that would not run. I just love the coherence mode, now I keep parallels running all the time. A MUST HAVE PROGRAM. (Version 2.5.3170)		0

iCan	Nov 21 2006	LARRY2 Great app for desktop trash. However on macbook pro(intels) there is a serious memory leak. If your computer start running abnormally and you have this app running open your activity monitor and check the memory usage for this app. The virtual memory can reach as high as 1gb and real memory as high as 225mb. that is alot for a utility app. Not recommended for intels until it is updated. All that said - Stability - is the ONLY problem with this app. (Version 3.0.5)		0

MainMenu	Oct 27 2006	LARRY2 Best maintaince program out there...and it free. I've tried MacHelpmate, Onxy and Cocktail. These I consider good...as a back up to MainMenu. MainMenu is faster and cleans deeper than the other. The only utility it doesn't replace for me in Font Finagler. It does clean the font cache, but not a deep clean. I can live with that. Can your Mac live without this program. P.S. Not the developer. JUST LOVE IT. (Version 1.7)		0

MainMenu	Sep 12 2006	LARRY2 Do Not use the function: Remove .DS_Store Files... if you have a windows HD. It will wipe the .DS files from the Windows HD, that you didn't know existed and the direve will become corrupt. You may get to work again but it will never be the same so it will be better to start fresh. YUK! TRUST ME ON THIS ONE...EXPERIENCE LEADS THE WAY!!! P.S. This not the fault of this program it is grreat. The faulty information in Apple not passing on such valuable information. This is still the best Utility for Intel Macs. Would still like for it to inspect font cache and REALLY clean font caches instead of having to use font finagler. (Version 1.5.5)		0

LARRY2 Thanks for the info. One more problem... for some reason fonts seems to corrupt easily with these applications. I have to run font finagler almost every time I use Word. Is there a work around or is it possible this will be addressed in the next update. This reply was very helpful and appreciated.

Either you've got a bad application install, a damaged OS X install, or your updater itself is somehow corrupted.

Hey, it's magnetic media - these things happen from time to time. Ever imperfect.

That's why it's important to keep a good, solid, known-good backup on another drive.

NEUTRALZONE Yes, I just started to see a font problem with Office. Launching Excel crashes ATSServer over and over, which sometimes brings down 3 or 4 other non-Microsoft apps and causes some characters to become missing in the menus. It's pretty spectacular. I need to narrow it down or reinstall, but yes, font problem can happen due to Office.

Mac HelpMate	Jun 22 2006	LARRY2 Great applicaton. I like it better than Onxy simply because of the option to "execute" all the maintaince runs in the auto tab. Onyx does not have this valuable feature. I would rather run this program and be finished than run each routine individually. My choice between Onxy, Cocktail and this Application... You guessed it, Mac Helpmate. Not because it's free unlike Cocktail... because it does the job (Great) FOR FREE. My single complaint, which is not a big deal for me is: When I tried to set auto execute the program crashed. That said, this is version 1, think of the future possibilities. Great Job.
