Type: DeveloperDate: 19 Feb 2006 07:27The dmg file has been altered to include the dashboard widget, which should be there (but for some reason it wasn't :)
You can also get the only the widget yourself from:

Type: DeveloperDate: 5 Oct 2005 09:47I think it's on Apple's part.
Aion uses (in most cases) time zones from the system's libraries. And that library tells that Jerusalem is GMT+2h, while in fact now it should be GMT+3h (because of daylight saving time modification).
I've checked that with Apple's World Clock Dashboard widget. I live in Warsaw, it's GMT+2 so if I have 15:45 then Jerusalem should be 16:45 (checked with http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=110). But Apple's widget shows 15:45!
It seems MacOS thinks Jerusalem lies in GMT+2 zone.
I will be trying to enter all the known time zones into AION will all the different daylight savings information but that may take a while.
Until then you are on your own :)

Type: DeveloperDate: 28 Sep 2005 17:36If you're talking about the format that is being used to display the time zone & time you know that you can change that, don't you? It's in the preferences and you can make it behave just like 1.5.

Type: DeveloperDate: 27 Sep 2005 08:23Yes, the About Prefs Pane shows 1.6.1 but the Version Pane should show 1.6.1. Of course everywhere you should see 1.6.1 but... :)
To remove the dash from the time you can use the Change format sheet in the "Display Format" preferences pane. Hold down the mouse button over the dash in the token field and drag it off the token field (drop it somewhere else) to make it disappear.

Type: CommentsDate: 7 Sep 2005 19:30Incredibly ugly. I can't even think of the new features because of the almost square corners. How could they come out with something looking like that. Will have to wait till someone manages to change that so it looks more MacOS-like.
If the next version of OS will look like this... I just might not buy it.

Type: DeveloperDate: 18 Jun 2005 20:25I hope the high CPU problem has been fixed with version 1.5.1 (though I didn't see that problem even on my G4 Cube 450). Some people said it worked for them, so I guess your choice would be to try 1.5.1.
And yes... the 10.4 style text display style customization is coming. I hope soon :)

Type: DeveloperDate: 28 Jan 2005 16:01Hello,

- Customizable fonts & colors
- Animated MenuBar icon
- Fixed Aion 1.4 versioning error.
It should be avaible whithin the next 2 weeks.
Best Regards,
Chris

Type: DeveloperDate: 7 Oct 2004 09:34There is a minor error in Aion 1.4. It affects the time zone calculator.
If you have a duplicated time zone installed (this includes the time zone itself and the same [or none set] custom name like: US/Pacific and US/Pacific) the time zone function will not work correctly. It just shifts time zones because of the combo box messing up with items (duplicated entries are being removed).
So right now the only option is just to not have duplicated time zones (you can have duplicated time zones as long as they have different custom names).
The bug will be fixed in the upcoming revision.

Type: DeveloperDate: 18 Sep 2004 19:43Ehem... yes, that is a mistake :) Though the application is indeed version 1.4. If the app has a menu item titled "Time Zone Calculator" it's version 1.4. Sorry. Have to fix that.

Type: DeveloperDate: 9 Mar 2004 09:05Well.. a bug spotted.
1.3.1 should fix the problem when AION would sometime fall into an infinite loop.
Read more about the program at:

Type: DeveloperDate: 4 Mar 2004 18:51Hello,
Just wanted to say AION is far from being dead :-)
Some updates are coming. Those will involve MenuExtra. Aion will become a dual-version application and both will be devolped at the same time. If by some accident Apple would close the MenuExtra for us developers again, a second version (um.. the first version that is) will be always there.
Best Regards,
Chris P.

Type: DeveloperDate: 9 Feb 2004 17:20Hehe, it is 12MB, thats right. Though the system calculator 6.5MB. The program uses all Cocoa objects, no flat C language variables. It is using less memory now than it was using ealier :) The next version should be using less than this one :) Or at lest not much more :)
Regards,
Chris P.

Type: DeveloperDate: 9 Feb 2004 17:04It didn't happen to me. Do You have a lot of menu extras installed in Your menu bar?
Soon AION will become a NSMenuExtra variation (there will be two versions avaible) so the user will be able to choosr from the two.
Regards,
Chris P.

Type: DeveloperDate: 8 Feb 2004 09:47Hello,
about the NSMenuExtra, it could be done. But as far as I know the user would have to install the enchancer application, wich allows to load the older imlpementation of NSMenuExtras as Apple since 10.2.7 has limited the ability to use third-party NSMenuExtra extentions. But anyway, do You happen to have a good example? :) I would have to keep 2 programs binaries just in case Apple has closed it down again.
Best Regards,
Chris P.
