KENARONI I had to uninstall this and go back to Flash player 9. I had the same problem as JOSHP - website mp3 flash player not working right. I'd suggest staying away from this beta until the bugs are gone. (Version 10.0.1b218)

BOUSOZOKU If you're waiting for the bugs to be gone, you shouldn't try a beta test piece of software. Perhaps you don't understand that beta test software is a work in progress and it's not meant to be used on a day-to-day basis. (Version 10.0d536)

Audion X | Dec 14 2007 |
KENARONI Hey cool, Audion works in 10.5 Leopard! It plays mp3 files and streams just fine. Now if it would only play AAC files too. (Version 3.0.2)

KENARONI As an alternative to iTunes, I still miss Audion. I wish someone would pick it up and run with it. I don't care about iPod compatibility or any other extras. It was simply a great & fun audio file and stream player. The choices of skins were so excellent. Last time I tried, it wouldn't work in OSX 10.4. (Version 3.0.2)

Dockables | Aug 11 2007 |
KENARONI These are handy to have. And instead of putting the individual icons in the dock, I just changed the Dockables folder icon to something more interesting and put *that* in the dock. This makes them all accessible with a right-click. (Version 1.0.4)

Shredder Widget | May 10 2007 |
KENARONI This is so fun! I want to delete files just to watch it shred and make that sound. Sure it takes longer than emptying the trash, but don't we all need a 1 minute break now & then? (Version 1.1)

Mental Case | Mar 18 2007 |
KENARONI Wow, this is cool, very different, and fun to use. The icon is great too :) If this had an option to use an iPod or a USB stick to store the data (instead of in your "library" or "documents"), you'd be onto something. As a daily multiple Mac user, I'd love such a thing. While we're dreaming, I'd like to have an app like this that the ability to publish html pages to an FTP directory, which I could then password. Then I would have my own little database online! (Version 1.0b2)

Drive-in | Dec 14 2006 |
KENARONI While not as fancy, you can get the same result by using MactheRipper (free) to do a "full disc extraction" of the DVD to your drive. Then open Apple DVD Player, drag & drop the extracted VIDEO_TS folder onto the Player dock icon. Press "play" on DVD player. Done. (Version 1.0.0.35b)

DJERKWHAD 'cept, this app actually preserves CSS and other encryptions...making it legal. (Version 1.0.0.35b)

KENARONI This looks really great! But I'm wondering why it will only upload one card at a time? Shift-click and Command-click have no effect in the selection list. Uploading one card at a time is painfully slow. Am I missing something? (Version 1.2)

Quicksilver | Jul 12 2006 |
KENARONI I'm using Quicksilver on an old 400mhz Mac G4, and it's plenty fast. Goes without saying it's *very* fast on my G5 at work. And it has crashed on me maybe twice in the last 6 months - usually when I'm trying to send it too many commands at once with my fast fingers. If it's running slow for you, see if you cataloged to many huge directories, things like system folders. Just catalog the folders you normally use. I've been using QS for a couple of years, but only lately am realizing all the things it can do. I've been learning a new feature every week that I never knew about before. Seek out tutorials on the web written by other users. QS is like becoming a Jedi Master - you must have patience and persistence, and you will be rewarded, young Jedi :) (Version 1.0b49)

KENARONI Works just fine here with iPhoto 6.0.2 Seems like it needs an option to open the clicked photo in the same window, instead of creating a second large popup window. (Version 1.3)

Camino | May 3 2006 |
KENARONI I was hopeful, but I have to go back to Firefox... With Camino 1.0 and now with 1.0.1, I'm STILL experiencing a total browser lock up when clicking download links on web pages that are slow to connect to a server. This only happens with download links. And it usually also completely cripples the Finder, finally releasing everything once the download begins, or times out. The Finder freeze up even makes it nearly impossible to force-quit Camino. I have used Camino on an iMac G5, a Powerbook G4, a G4 400, and this happpens on EVERY machine. Anybody else have this problem? - Ken. (Version 1.0.1)

SWESTMORELAND I am also having this problem. I'm on an Intel MacBook 13.3 w/ 10.4.8, 2.0GHZ, 1GB Ram. Camino v1.0.3. When I save a file from Camino (download) it lags up and freezes the Finder. Force quit is not available and I just have to wait it out.. usually 20-30 seconds and everything is back to normal. Have not yet found a solution but can confirm you are not the only case. (Version 1.0.3)

CFLAWSON Both of you are probably using Quicksilver and are downloading to the Desktop. The 1.1 beta fixes this issue, or you can tell Quicksilver not to index the Desktop (or you can download somewhere else). (Version 1.1b1)

Adobe Flash Player | Mar 18 2006 |
KENARONI I dislike Flash as much as the next person, due to it's use & abuse for advertising. But I believe this beta seems to make flash run a little faster on this old Powerbook Ti-G4. The flash based homepage tools at goowy.com are my test subjects. (Version 8.5b1)

Macromedia Dreamweaver | Sep 10 2005 |
KEN M. Serious crash problems 50 percent of the time when opening a file from a server. It happens to me everyday with two computers in two different locations, for many months now. DW hasn't been updated in a LONG time. I didn't want to switch GoLive after all these years, but I'm starting to change my mind. At least Adobe updates their Creative Suite. Maybe they have something up their sleeve since they bought Macromedia. Who knows... (Version 7.0.1)

Firefox | Oct 17 2004 |
KEN My advice is to avoid this version (0.10.1). I've been using it both at home and work since it came out, and it crashes on A LOT of javascript links for popup windows. So much that I'm weary of it and am reluctantly returning to Mozilla, until they fix this bug. Firefox is my favorite OSX broswer. Why? Safari is very fast and looks the best, but lacks slightly in web standards, needed for web site designers. iCab has major CSS shortcomings. Mozilla may be big and clunky, but it interprets pages correctly. Like Firefox, it has built-in popup blocking and banner server blocking. (Version 0.10.1)

Apple Mac OS X | Mar 16 2004 |
KEN This update ran smoothly on my older G4 at work. However, it hosed my 10.3 OSX system on my older iMac at home. Upon every restart, I get the "Your computer needs to be shutdown" screen. No, I am not a newbie. I have been using OSX since the beta days, and using older Mac OS since the OS 7.6 days (remember that?). And I'm not running any system hacks. I ran disc first aid and Norton Utilities to no avail. Thank god I can boot into OS9 and backup user folders to an external drive, for 10.3 reinstallation. (Version 10.3.3)
