KSCHLOBYNSKI  I actually like this software.

Only one thing you should know: I was used to droppping photos onto a similar tool, then adding the gpx tracks, and done.

But in myTracks, as the focus is on organizing the gpx tracks, you first need to add the tracks, and only then drop photos into it.

That was a tad confusing at first...

And remember to ask myTracks to write the geotags back into the files!

KSCHLOBYNSKI  Wonderful, just wonderful. A simple tool that does exactly what it should do, but with a nice twist.

I am using CDFinder to organize my data, and that already contains a fast Locr uploader as well.

But to quickly drop a few photos to the Locr community, I like this new Locr DropBox.

The twist: This installs a Service, so I can select a couple of photos in Finder, and use the Service menu to get the upload started immediately. Way cool!

And it even writes back a pointer to the photo on Locr to the Spotlight comment, so I can see in the Get Info window if I had uploaded a photo already. Pretty darn nice. Thanks!!

KSCHLOBYNSKI  Will version 3 of EyeTV turn off the Mac after a recording?

I am still using 2.5, and I am quite happy with that older version, but that is one feature that 2.5 is lacking, and I can't see in the documentation of 3 if that is contained...

KSCHLOBYNSKI  I just found CDFinder when it was on special offer at MacZOT, and I am very glad to have finally found my new disk cataloger.

This is one powerful application, but yet pretty simple to use.

And instead of visual gimmicks, CDFinder offers real bang for the buck. I have dumped my stuffed 37 hard disks on it, and CDFinder chewed them just fine. I love that fact that I can actually see the nice thumbnails in all list modes as well, that is rather helpful at locating a photo visually.

The developer reacts quickly to questions and offers great and friendly support.

Simply awesome!
