Keyboard and Mouse Recorder | Nov 5 2009 |
JULIFOS I downloaded the evaluation and works pretty fine. I would add an option to reproduce the mouse/keystrokes faster (or slower) than originally recorded. (Version 4.2)

JULIFOS Definitely I should find the way to make my own tests, as I don't find a reliable way to decode the quicksfv file. Seems there are some UTF-16 chars, but spaces, hyphens, dots and something else are left untouched... Maybe I shouldn't decode US-ASCII chars (ASCII 32 thru 126?) I'll take a look and let you know in this thread... (Version 1.5.3)

JULIFOS Can you point me to a QuickSFV file with Unicode support? Meanwhile, I will be working in a new format XML-based (ie, file.checksum+) with support for Unicode characters. But I'd be interested as well in supporting all QuickSFV's capabilities (I grabbed a copy and fired it in Parallels, but wasn't able to generate a sfv for files with Unicode chars??) JULIFOS I use to be trusty, but I must agree with EASER with two facts: no news or plans at Unsanity and the transition to Leopard was very long and frustrating, so short in the time the living of the last release of WS! And one more with DONEBYLEE: it's so ***** useful... I don't know either if this is a good idea, but I'd be willing to pay a new license for the same task in every OS release! (Version 4.3)

JULIFOS If you are talking about the app's icon, it's been more snow-ized than leopard-ized. (Version 4.0)

JULIFOS Still one of my favorite tools. I missed it so much until its return ;-) Old serial from 2004 works fine. All features work fine, as in the past. Fine piece of software which will make work your computer when you are ahead. (Version 2.6.2)

THEONETRUEROBB Version 2.6.2 has been much more stable for me. So far.... (Version 2.6.2)

JULIFOS Works pretty fine, as a true Mac drag & drop (or double-click and get-it-done) tool. Thanks! (Version 1.1)

JULIFOS Unusable output swf AS3 file in my first try. Will try again further versions... (Version 5.0.4)

JULIFOS The best OSX hex editor available. Not full of features (even when I wouldn't use most of them in the real world), but fast and reliable. Would love to hear if any plugin exist! (Version 1.0.7)

mpc2aiff | Jan 5 2009 |
JULIFOS mpc2aiff still works for me (under Rosetta) and I couldn't find a new binary —Intel— for mppdec (and not sure one will exist?)... Just a follow-up! No problems, though, I guess. I think mpc will be a open-source library and someone (or everyone) will add support for it in their sound players. Otherwise, you can stick using mpc2aiff or the more recent PPC binary at http://www.musepack.net/ (Version 1.2)

Rarify | Jul 26 2008 |
JULIFOS No problem, it was only my point of view about a possible meaning of the words "Good starting". About "disable the sound", you must be talking about the double-beep after a file is rar-ed. I'll add a checkbox in the prefs window. About "Growl support", I'm not entirely sure about what-is-it, as I don't use it myself (as far as I know), but smells to a replacement for the double-beep?. A quick googling says it can be done easily, so I'll take a look as well if you find it an interesting feature. Many thanks for your review! (Version 0.7)

Rarify | Jul 18 2008 |
JULIFOS As for most of utilities I use daily, I wished something very "drag & drop" for my RAR needs, as I use to do the same allways: pick a folder and compress it, pick a file and compress it, pick a bunch of files and folders and compress it. Some times, create parts... Very simple tasks. Existing products are nice (I take into consideration RarMe and SimpleRAR, but there are some more options), but they have many clicks to get the job done. I missed too the existence of a "Cancel" button. And the RAR binary is updated so often, so I thought an automated update would be nice... Hopefully, I won't be adding new features/options to this app. The simpler the code, the easiest to mantain. Also, using the binary is not very reliable, IMHO. I thought initially in something similar to SimplyRAR (but more powerful), where you could create dirs, and items inside, etc. But, put simply, it's not reliable and not very interesting at all. If I was forced to write such a thing, I would rather pay this folk (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17741/rar-expander) to do it using the RAR libraries. I love RAR Expander and Kris Gybels has the skills to do it. (Version 0.7)

JULIFOS If you open the app in a OS which is not Panther, it will crash (that's because OS 10.3.x is a requirement...) (Version 2.0b1)

commander | Dec 20 2003 |
JJ Definitivelly, commander needs better documentation and a special note about security. However, if you currently *only* install commander without prior reading the documentation, you will see soon that commander won't work unless you setup some preferences, specially a list of authorized email addresses and/or domains. As you see, the "sendMeDocs.scpt" module will return the user the requested archives from the client computer. But "sendMeDocs.scpt" will be executed only if the order comes from an authorized mail account, and will send back the requested information only to such address. Well, I'll add a "security" entry into the docs very soon! (Version 1.0)
