Used Cabos for a while, generally happy with hit. Problem is coming up continually now, for developer - the network will cut out and leave it in effect frozen, 'downloading' files but with no activity, making it almost impossible to finish downloading any large file. Also a large file may get far along, then it will in part 'disappear' - though in the 'incomplete' file it is the same size, as far as Cabos is concerned 80% of it vanished. This is the latest version on Mac Tiger.

Early versions of Pando were very useful, sent music files, etc. to UK contact for web article. Now whenever I try to open anything, jpg photo, sound file, etc. I get the 'invalid or corrupt' message. So it's completely useless. Running Mac OS 10.4.11.

I removed everything Pando including prefs and history (I uninstalled it in other words) and have installed the two most recent versions with no change.

This works very well. I rarely buy software but this was worth it. Toast has this option in Spin Doctor but does virtually nothing. You can calibrate this - on rock tracks it can take off the drum beat tops if set too high, for instance. The effect on some 78 files is absolutely amazing. There is also a Batch option in the purchased version (if you email the developer he'll send you a test version of it with the batch option). Only glitch I found is it may freeze after finishing a large file, but just quit the program, doesn't affect the repaired file.

Perhaps this new (6b) version is for 10.3, as it is a disaster for me on 10.2.8 with modem. I fortunately had kept the installation program for the Sept. version, which works fine. Almost drove me to Safari. Worst was the freezes if open for any length of time for my printer or the (superfluous) security warnings.

Running OS X 10.2.8, all that happened when I opened it was Toast opened. Like the bathroom shower coming on when you switch the light on. Unstuffed another copy, tried again, same result. Advise?

Faster than Safari and IE. Much improved download for OS X, simple expansion. Only problem in past has been crashing sometimes when asking for feedback. Safari will offer stale day-old pages for illusion of speed, vexing for Ebay or Half.com. Big improvement on Netscape. Could become the browser of choice for Mac OS X if more stable.
