JETFIREDX I have never had to compile Wine myself. Dropping two files on my hard drive from a .dmg is all that it takes to get Wine. It is just a matter of looking for it pre-built. Next, they use the exact same winecfg application to configure them. Beyond that I think the bottles concept that CrossOver makes you deal with is more complicated than it needs to be. As for OpenGL, neither Wine (Darwine) or CrossOver are working for me so in the end it doesn't matter and I suspect it is similar for others. I don't play games on my Mac or on a PC so the only thing I am interested in is the few 3D tools I did use and would still like to use. I would gladly buy CrossOver if FragMotion would run because then I could ditch Windows entirely. However, because I am not a business I cannot afford to pay the devs to get support for FragMotion working as it says you can do on their site. (Version 6.2.1) |
