JIM57  BOINC is one of the only things which causes a Kernel Panic on my MacBook. Bad. I uninstalled it.

A shame, because I like the idea of doing something good with my idle cycles.

JIM57  Is there a way to convert SCSI to USB, or another method to use an old (but great) Epson Scanner?

MACUPDATE ADMIN  They're hardware, not software, so they should work fine. Of course, you have to investigate which manufacturers state that their adapter/converters work with OS X. Belkin is a reputable manufacturer of such devices, pretty sure they have a SCSI to USB device that will work.

MACFENTON  If you can't find the converter with Belkin, here's a couple of places that might have one:
