JEFFEHOBBS  Hi Anonymous; setting a path to your music folder will be coming in version 1.1. In the meantime, just manually change the path in the file /etc/daapd.conf from pointing to your iTunes folder to point to your external drive.

The way it's set up now, Daappelganger launches teh daapd music sharing service as a root-owned service via the XML daapd.plist file in your /Library/LaunchDeamons/ folder; try moving that file to /Library/LaunchAgents/ and see if anything improves? Also, feel free to contact me personally and we can work it out.
