Please add iPhone support soon! There's no way to get pictures back off an iPhone if your computer crashes, so I'm eagerly awaiting an update.

Other than a couple crashes, this program worked awesome for me! Used it to copy all my iPhone playlists onto my new MacBook... very seamless and easy to use.

I've also been dissatisfied with the declining quality of Control Center, with version 2.0 being the last straw... I even performed a clean install in case something else was the culprit of my poor mouse behavior. I'd relegated myself to using my MX1000 without any of its bells and whistles, but then almost by accident came upon SteerMouse here on this site. It wasn't free, but $20 seemed reasonable to get a stable driver and regain the use of all my customized buttons.

from an email sent by the developer:

"Unplug the mouse, and then reconnect it while holding down cmd + opt keys.

This way SteerMouse won't register it."

tilt scrolling worked afterwards, even after subsequent restarts... I'd suggest anyone having the same issue try that.

1 minor issue (which seems to comprise the entire FAQ) is that tilt scrolling doesn't work... it's only a small problem but at least the developer is aware of the bug.

Fantastic! I've been using a Logitech MX1000 for a while but their Control Center software is terribly unstable lately. After a clean install and out of desperation, I gave both this and USB Overdrive a shot. I found SteerMouse to be superior in both ease of use and reliable performance. My workflow depends on customized actions for the extra buttons, so this saved the day (and more than made the 20 bucks worthwhile).

does it affect the finder as well?
