POS all the way, sorry. That initial scanning for other volumes kills it, + the fact that the Auto-Update doesn't recognize when it is being updated (and needs to be manually quit) kills it for me as well. |

I'm almost afraid to update this. Current version works just fine. |

Install was fast on an Intel iMac (2gbs ram), and running Word is faster than 2004. But what bugs me are these daemons: Microsoft AU and Microsoft Database I opted to not autoupdate, and didn't install Entourage, yet these large footprinted beasts are running. Killing them in terminal seems to solve the problem, and Word/Excel works fine without them. |

I change my review to ZERO stars. Support for this pos is abysmal - there is NO MAC SUPPORT, and the support people are condescending at best. After testing on a variety of Macs (Xeons, G5s, iMac G5s and Intels) - this program fails across the board. 1) some crashes are permanent. erasing a system and reinstalling the OS (and of course Vue) does little. I've exhausted a supply of Xeons doing this and only one seems to render. 2) the program is ridiculously slow; not just rendering, but the interface and redraws are hideous (even after adjusting the video options in the pregerence pane) 3) memory management is pathetic: the program will make calls to in-use memory blocks, then claim out of memory, then crash. 8gbs of ram isn't enough? |

Doesn't seem to do anything on a Xeon Quad with 10.4.10 :( |

The newer versions are much more stable, though still a bit unMaclike at times. The results are stunning. Support completely stinks - weeks pass before getting the most idiotic responses - stuff like - did you reboot? - ugh. But the results are amazing, if you can suffer through the flaws. Oh, expect to be nickle and dimed with Esprit. (You want to control trees, $xx, oh, you want to batch render with other systems - $xx, you want to control EcoSystems - $xx.) |

Thanks - my bad. This now seems pretty useful if you need a low overhead browser during long FCP renders or whatever. Nice and small, err, mini. |

Doesn't seem to work - entering an url and hitting return or enter does nothing. |

Improved over previous version - presets stay off when turned off, OpenGL draws are much faster. -MacBookPro |

The price can't be beat, but to be picky: I want the ability to disable the pre-set auto-loading layers (that didn't auto-load in previous versions) This is rude and annoying - I'm glad I backed up my previous version. |

Can't download unless you register; still waiting for 'approval'.... Hey, Roxio - updates via this method are offensive and a waste of my time. |

Just my opinion, obviously, but isn't it less work to just manually change the time by one hour rather than download, install and update a peice of system software? |

Meeting Maker works well, generally speaking. A web client is also available and works with Safari. Problems are generally restricted to printing - which was not an issue in older versions. Occasional truncation of text, and no options to control width or size of printed text. Aside from this, it's a good addition to your office. There are also server and admin apps for Mac. |

After installing DasBoot with Disk Warrior onto a 2gb USB2 flash drive, my MacBookPro booted... and booted, and booted for almost 40 mins until I gave up and had to hard boot back to my system. Not sure if the flash drive's 180mb of free space is an issue, but I wish it would've worked. :( |

The Opera website is indicative of their web browser - too-hip-when-it's-actually-too-cheesy. Try Camino instead. |

It's a shame that this is PPC; at least there's dual processor support. The video demo looks pretty good - rendering seems to be a bit better than previous versions though still not even close to Maya. For $99 you can't beat it. PS the DAZ website is very slow and the screenshots don't appear. :( |

This is a difficult to master program and not the kind you can jump in and learn in 2 minutes, so tough. Read some online tutorials, buy a book... Even with some of the interface changes, it's still a great app. It's gotten faster than 6.5, and openGL works better. |
