Type: ReviewDate: 4 Jul 2008 09:49Works well. Has Canadian weather, sits out of the way in the menu bar, it works as advertised. I really like this app! Very nicely done!

Type: CommentsDate: 26 May 2008 19:32I see. I only asked as Air itself gives a warning about it not being signed and then about it needing 'unrestricted access' to the system. Thanks for the reply.

Type: ReviewDate: 28 Jan 2008 20:15Having this app handy all the time, having the options to repeat shots, shoot the screen, in a rectangle, doing timed shots or multiple shots makes it a perfect app to load at startup - it sits in the bar and stays out of your way until you need it. It's quick, does great screenshots and has lots of options. It's always a plus when an app has the options you want and the price is this good. Very nice app, indeed.

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Dec 2007 18:21Very nice, very attractive, and one of the most creative uses of 'Lorem ipsum' that I've seen in a good long time. Very nice work!

Type: ReviewDate: 4 Dec 2007 23:08Truly the best relaxation software around. I've used it through a few versions and have never been disappointed that I registered it. I've had communications with the author and he's been responsive and quick to reply. While the software works 'out of the box' it has a tremendous ability for customization to one's personal tastes. Truly a great app and well worth the price!

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Nov 2007 08:14As far as using genealogy apps in the OS X environment I've pretty much tried them all looking for the one that was the best fit of functionality and usefulness for me. While I liked the previous version of MacFamilyTree and had settled on it (despite purchasing others in the never ending quest...) I think that this new upgrade is a quantum leap forward for the application. It has made data entry so much easier and so far has worked almost perfectly, with only a few little glitches that are normal for a new release and which the author seems to be eager to fix. The bulk of my data entry was done in the previous version and imported perfectly. Wonderful app, great work! Well worth the upgrade price.

Type: CommentsDate: 31 Jul 2007 08:54I had the same trouble. Seemed to go fine but never could connect, just got hung up. Had to force quit to shut it down. Nice idea, just not quite ready I guess.

Type: ReviewDate: 26 Jul 2007 10:28This is still the best editing app out there barring Photoshop, and one can't even compare them due to price. It has a huge amount of functionality, and, rather than get into a fight as to whether or not it deserves a full number upgrade, I upgraded right away. Some of the new features and improvements are valuable and useful to me. Does it need a facelift? Well, yes, but for my money I'm happier that the developer spends time on features rather than GUI. Personally, it's just not so important to me that all my apps look the same. Just my .02.

Type: ReviewDate: 17 Jun 2007 18:31Truly a wonderful application. I have to do printouts of music for musicians (guitarists, mainly) and Songsheet Generator allows me to keep a complete library of music to choose from at my fingertips with the options of showing chords or not on the printouts. A program that doesn't have a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles but does what it says and does it well. It's easy to use and works without a hiccup. The author has done regular updates on it and responds quickly to emails. Paying a small registration fee to support this type of application was worth it, even though the author doesn't require it. Great program!

Type: ReviewDate: 11 May 2007 18:18When OS X was released I spent a lot of time looking, waiting and looking some more for a good OS X IRC client. Nothing filled my needs until Snak. I kept using OS 9 until then. No other client was a full-featured and reasonably mature. Certainly there are other IRC clients, and some are quite good, but nothing can match the versatility and usability of Snak. I paid my $19 back then as soon as it was released and just recently paid another $19 (I think) for the upgrade. Paying for one upgrade in all those years isn't too bad at all.
Is it worth $29 to buy? If it fills your needs, then yes. If Colloquy or some other client does that then fine. They couldn't for me, so the cost was small. I definitely recommend Snak with no hesitation.

Type: CommentsDate: 22 Apr 2007 11:36203 screensavers and a readme file. Doesn't that make 25 meg sound a bit more reasonable? Some of these screensavers are just wonderful! You'll be missing something if you don't dl it.

Type: ReviewDate: 19 Mar 2007 20:39I use the PC version in my office at work and the OS X version here at home. It works like a charm in both versions and does what it says it will. The price can't be beat either. Great app!

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Mar 2007 16:36Heh, heh. Does what it claims. Don't listen to the naysayers - this is the kind of thing that has always made Macs fun - and THEN they were ported to MS OSes. Nice work!

Type: ReviewDate: 28 Feb 2007 08:22Password Wallet has evolved over the years into a true Mac app while retaining all of it's ease of use and usefulness. I use it all the time with my Palm TX (and have with other Palm PDAs I've had over the years) and it has always worked flawlessly. With so many passwords to remember, and the need to have them at remote computers, Password Wallet fits my needs perfectly. Nothing else I have tried has come close. I've been a user since the first releases and I can truly say that I've never had a second thought about using it. I particularly like the fact that numbers are red. A small thing, but something no one else seems to consider. A truly nice application, both for the Mac and the Palm.

Type: CommentsDate: 29 Jan 2007 19:49I have to agree about downloading the updates. If your scanner is working with the version you have then stick with it. I've used this app since the earlier days and I bought the lifetime update license I liked it so much. While the upgrade cycle may be a bit fast the author does it often to please people with more obscure scanners and issues. It's a great application and I don't regret buying it for one moment. If you own it and it works fine for you, why not just download an update every 6 months or so? No one is forcing anyone to upgrade. It works great for me!

Type: CommentsDate: 28 Dec 2006 12:10I've used the Readerware suite of apps for some years now and I'd have to agree that their UI is really dated and could use a revamp. However, I have also NEVER had one moment of trouble with any of the apps running, over the years, on a number of different macs with varying versions of OS X as I've upgraded or changed my system. They've performed flawlessly. Truly a rock-solid suite of software in my experience.

Type: ReviewDate: 10 Nov 2006 07:23It's got a lot of good features that would normally put it near the top of its class, if they could only do something about its speed. It's terribly sluggish, and I don't use my computer to waste time but to make things faster and more convenient. They'd have a real winner if they could do something about that. I bought it hoping that it would improve (hey, I like supporting shareware!) but find myself using the Pedia group of apps (DVDPedia, BookPedia and CDPedia) instead. Fast, efficient, very Mac-like and bulletproof. They're what Delicious Library would be if they could do something about the speed.

Type: ReviewDate: 17 Oct 2006 22:55For anyone who is interested in Mac history, who collects Macs or who does tech support for Macs, this app is indispensable. The author has done an incredible amount of research, stays up-to-date with new releases and updates the app quickly after new releases. He's also incredibly responsive to questions, suggestions and general communications. I've used this since the first release and it just keeps getting better and better, and the price is certainly right. Truly a labor of love from a Mac fan!

Type: ReviewDate: 26 Sep 2006 20:40For a beta application this is a very nice start. I'm all for single purpose applications without so many bells and whistles that it becomes the bloatware that I hate so much on PCs. This is small, sleek and easy. One thing I'd like is encryption as my license numbers to me are as important as passwords. Other than that, it suits my purposes perfectly. Kudos to the author!

Type: CommentsDate: 4 Aug 2006 08:35Ah, Thoth! This was the first (and only) serious newsreader after the release of OS X, and I was glad to send my registration fee. I only wish more people had done so. Since its development was discontinued I've moved on to another app for a number of reasons. Had It never been discontinued I'd likely never have changed.

Type: ReviewDate: 1 Aug 2006 12:02One of the most practical and useful apps that I own, GeburtstagsChecker, despite its unwieldy moniker, is an elegant, stable and absolute necessity in my daily use. I've never had one moment of trouble from the app and I've used it for years. Great work, great application and great price. You can't beat it!

Type: ReviewDate: 19 Jul 2006 10:48How absolutely brilliant! I started listening to a song and didn't notice anything different until I heard the tiny pops and crackles in the background - just like my old vinyl records would sound, and I hadn't noticed it! The skipping made it really obvious soon after. Not hugely useful, but who cares? Insanely great isn't about hugely useful. :)

Type: ReviewDate: 28 Apr 2006 14:28The updated features make this version a must-have. If you don't have it yet, buy DVDPedia. In fact, buy all the pedias you need (CD, Book and Game). I was a committed Readerware user for DVDs, CDs and books. When I started using the comparable pedia apps I couldn't believe what I was missing. The ability to generate .html pages, with graphics, easily is one big feature - the reporting options are great. It has better features in the advanced fields. Bruji has come a long way in making their automatic web search feature as good as the Readerware apps. This, and the other pedias, are really sweet apps if you want a database in which to keep track of your collections, and at a really wonderful price! Highly recommended!

Type: ReviewDate: 26 Jan 2006 08:52I can drag an application to the trash. I can find an assumed .plist file in the prefs folder. I can check for a cache or files in the Application Support folder. I can do all this and it has taken me more time than I like to think to uninstall apps that I've decided to try out and then have decided to trash. This application makes it so simple and so quick. This is absolutely brilliant! I only had to use it twice to decide that I had to register it. What a great, simple idea. Yes, there's a chance it might miss something, but there's a greater chance that I will, so AppZapper gets the nod. Wonderful work!
