IBELL63  I have a MacBook Pro, it is a C2D mac. I have the revision immediately before the current revision. I did follow the uninstall correctly. Just recently, however the machine did start automatically adjusting it's fan speed again. I have no idea why, maybe it just took a few restarts?

IBELL63  DO NOT USE this app! This app will permanently effect your system's fan control settings even after you uninstall it. I uninstalled it and my system no longer changes it's fan settings according to the load automatically. For the time being, I am using smcFanConrol to keep my system from overheating. From what I have found, the way to fix this is to restore the firmware for your machine, but I have not been able to find the proper firmware disc for my Particular MacBook Pro, (MacBookPro3,1), so I havn't been able to restore my firmware. If anyone can help me, please reply. Much help would be greatly appreciated. Mac Update should pull this app, and the developer should pull it until this potentially catastrophic issue is fixed.

NEONBLUE2  Been working fine for me for over a year. Do you have a C2D Mac and follow the uninstallation instructions to the letter?

Just trying to help by covering all bases.

FRANK   I have EXACTLY the same problem -- fans can get out of ANY control, like right now. Sometimes, like now, no amount of re-start works at all! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
