I've exactly the same experience as Donkey.

I've submitted and emailed dozens of crash reports by now.

I believe what may be different about *my* case (I don't know about previous poster Donkey) is that I regularly have dozens upon dozens of tabs open -- and multiple "Workspaces" (*each* with dozens of tabs)

I've always felt the browser was quite fine with just 1 window and maybe 10 tabs open. But past that, it gets slower on my MacBook Intel Core Duo 1.83 with 2 Gigs RAM

I agree. It crashes constantly. Which is infuriating.

This is a paid product and their marketing definitely glosses over how often OmniWeb will crash vs. in Firefox, Safari and Opera.

Does the trick. I'm satisfied.

Lets Dashboard load much faster than before when I had the official Gmail viewer widget installed.

Superb. I make the 'Focused icon' ~100px large and put it on top of the menubar (partially hidden gives it a nice look) in the top right of my screen. Set it to hide when the mouse approaches the area for Spotlight.

Terrible description, but I tried it anyway.

This offers nothing other than buttons for Fullstreen, Open, etc. Looks like a amateur job (fullscreen mode looks like crap, third of screen is taken up with this button pane, ....not worthy of a page on MacUpdate. Sorry Developer.... don't mean to be mean.

Give a screenshot for this app and let others see what I mean!

Thank you for many flawless unrar'ings. Huge compressed folders (14 gigs in 1 .rar file is my top so far) or tiny little archives, this program works beautifully.

Thank you for that answer Heavy_baby.

I know I've been curious about that question, surely many others as well.

Best of luck fixing your Mac :) You might want to put a Donation button on your site for money so you can purchase a new MacBook pro =)

Absolutely amazing.

Try it. I've used OmniWeb & Firefox & Safari extensively, also used Camino and Opera. Shiira is the first browser I've used on the Mac where I keep saying "WOW, they did it right! Why is safari not like this!?" in my head _almost every day_.

Please, try it.

P.S. I personally found that changing the User Agent (in Shiira's preferences) to Safari makes the browser much more stable. Try it, you'll see... a whole lot less crashing, at least on my Mac OS 10.3.9 Powerbook G4.

Works great for the last several songs I've played.

It has even recognized George Carlin stand-up comedy (purely voice, not music).

I'd suggest others download Tunalyzer from the developers site, which analyzes the music in your iTunes Library and adds it to Tunatics peer-edited database of songs (found out about it when looking through devs site to see how program works).

Nothing beats Tyler popping up every 10 minutes with his, um, advice. :-)

To author: I've been using this on 10.3.9 since downloading several days ago. It has worked flawlessly, except it doesn't always pop-up every 10 minutes as it should ..but then I click it every so often (added to dock) and it starts showing regularly again. :)

Great tool. Just works well.

Sole complaint is a rather important and frustrating one:

The icon in the menubar is plain bad looking :) If the author could change it, or give the option to chance it, I would personally be incredibly greatful.

I agree with the idea for supporting multiple players over the internet (like StarCraft or etc).

I'm sure I'd start playing this game again if it had that.

Also, it would be an incredible motivation to pay for BOOM for those that still haven't after all these years (shame on me for this). You could make it so only registered people could play the internet competitions.

Cabos works great. No big hassles and a simple prefs panel.

Also, anyone concerned about the new limit of 3 connections should read the thread @ http://gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50195 ..."heavy_baby" is Cabos's developer and you'll find his reason in the thread.

Same problem, same setup. Crashes after launch (Quicktime 7.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.3.9)
