Importing is back in at a basic level (with a workaround)

Use the Bookmarks Preference pane to enable, some things may require a restart. This will be cleaned up before beta 3, but at least you can use bookmarks from Safari and Firefox.

Also it seems, while I do appreciate it, the person who updated this entry to the beta did not amend the download link. Download it again and make sure the version in the About panel is 1.5

This is a beta and I am working feverishly to have these types of issues resolved.

You don't have to install or use growl, so I don't understand the point of your comment. If you don't like Growl, don't install it and programs that use it do nothing with it.

I, on the other hand, love Growl.

Please go to the forum at http://www.hurrikenux.com/forum and post a crash report so I can look into this.

Announcement:

As I see I myself am guilty of making general posts in this area, I realized that I should probably announce that it is best to find and get support for Demeter at http://www.hurrikenux.com/forum. There, you will get prompt support from myself or other users. This will also help to keep this area a little cleaner (as I'm sure MacUpdate devs will appreciate)

I thank everyone for their interest and support of the Demeter web browser!

There is a javascript handling problem in Demeter at the moment that I am working to fix.

Known places it occurs:

usatoday.com

maps.google.com

gmail.com

You don't really have to have another anything. Its whether or not you want to have it. The goal is to add things other don't have while keeping the footprint light.

Plus keeping up with the WebKit 3 changes has been a bear. Shiira 2 has also not currently remedied the issues with it.

I welcome you to try it out and see if it fits your needs. The features page is long overdue an update (as is Demeter) and both will be coming very soon.

There is in fact a place to post problems. A forum at http://www.hurrikenux.com/forum has a place for bugs, suggestions, and more.

Sorry for the delayed response...new acct :P

DrawIt 3.1 is a good step ahead of the pack of indie image editing applications. Pixelmator and Acorn have both presented way too many problems for me, and as a developer I am not too fond of their respective looks. However, DrawIt adds just enough image editing tools and just enough vector drawing tools that I have finally been able to delete Inkscape and Gimp. DrawIt isn't perfect, but the developer is quick to respond to comments and emails and seems to be graciously working to add new features and fix existing problems. See how far you get with Adobe's support system! I haven't had the slowdown problems others are reporting, and trust me, any slowdown and I often uninstall and wait for issues to be fixed. No problems here and looking forward to the future of DrawIt!
