Rather feeble. Or was it the en space that I inserted? Test tag. Em space. Test tag. En space. |

"Why install if I have no G3 iPhone?" But it's a frivolous exercise to install software that is of no consequence or benefit. Why play by Pied Piper's tune? |

Because of Scribblet I ran into this little app -- and so far I'm liking it. Unlike Scribblet, MeNotes has a drop down menu with a list of, or categories for different notes. Too bad though that the developer might have left MeNotes aside because it could use further user refinements: the window frame is much too fat. And I separator line before the "new note" item would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'm liking this, and seems to be handling itself well. Also, the menu bar icon is super. |

This just might be the replacement for AcidSearch, since its developer seems to have abandoned AcidSearch completely from last year. Is there anyway to add search engines? Selecting an engine with a keyboard shortcut would also be nice to. |

Hey--I'm glad that your glad! But seriously, what a relief. I too was in the process of packing my drive to send to LaCie, but was procrastinating. Evidently, waiting to do things at the last moment also seems to reap its rewards... |

Something extraordinary happened. I had tried to update my new Little Disk, with the same catastrophic results as several users reported in the previous post. And for each time I ran the Update Tool, the software confirmed that it had detected a device that needed a firmware updating. I ran the Update utility many times hoping that it might eventually do its thing successfully -- but to no avail. So this last time I figured, what the hell, I'll try something different. Instead of choosing the Little Disk enclosure among LaCie's list of external drives, I chose the next best equivalent -- the Porsche Mobile drive -- and presto, the update ran its course successfully and my disk mounted on the desktop! |

from privoxy.org: To start Privoxy manually, double-click on the StartPrivoxy.command icon in the /Library/Privoxy folder. Or, type this command in the Terminal: I installed -- but no such folder exists. PPC - 10.4.11 |

About force-quitting (am on OS X 10.4.11), it seems that Transmission will quit -- eventually, like 30-45 seconds later. But I still force quit more often than not when I need to go onto something else. |

So, he's abandoned an incomplete SafariStand version for Safari 3.0.4 on Tiger? I had to force quit Safari repeatedly because the Automatically Restore Last Session prevented me from accessing Safari entirely (Application not responding). Then of course, I remembered to best simply delete SafariStand's plist. I sure miss the option to stop gif animations, and the Site Alteration is next to ineffective. |

Rebooting the entire system seems a bit drastic. I too ran into that problem, but for me, there are two remedies. If I'm in the type tool before and after switching to Fontagent to enable a font (or to re-enable it by activating the entire family), I'll switch into a different tool, or even deactivate a type layer, then switch back into the type tool -- apparently the font menu gets rebuilt (?). If that fails, I'll simply relaunch the app but not reboot the entire system. |

For crying out loud: I was just about to post the odd thing that with Pacifist looking into the Combo update, I'm only seeing Safari 2.0.4. Well, duh, that's because the Combo link for Tiger 10.4.11 *is* for Tiger 10.4.TEN! And it's written clearly enough, except that I took it for granted that the Combo link included in the latest Tiger download page, here, would be for none other than for Tiger 10.4.11! I just downloaded 10.4.11. Lol. |

I'm not sure what happened, but initially everything went normal when I reinstalled 0.6.2. But just now, Safari 2 would crash upon launch, with a message of some sort complaining that acidsearch would not load, etc, and upon checking things out, it seems the installer for acidsearch 7 and simble 0.8.2 ignores inferior versions of simbl from the home library folder. I reinstalled acidsearch 7 and moved my other simble plugin, safaristand, from the home to the boot library folder that has simble 0.8.2 |

I'm still with Tiger, so perhaps this is a bug only with Tiger. Anyhow, the default channel doesn't stick upon first launch until it's manually chosen each time. It's set for Dictionary.com but it inserts Google instead. Also, in the prefs, I was refused my default choice -- I had to delete an obscure choice AcidSearch insisted to make at my stead! I reverted back to 0.6.2 |

Several postscript fonts don't show their typeface when selected (for version 3.2 and 3.3) -- But I just re-installed version 2.3 as an experiment, and there they are! I deleted PopChar 3's prefs, but that didn't amount to anything. |

This works superbly with SafariStand's Show Page Info -- just copy an image link or any link, then quickly double click the tab bar. Also, now I can remove SafariStand's New Tab menu button off the toolbar, giving me a bit more space for everything else (I'm on a laptop). What would be neat, with a modifier key, is to double click to hide the tab bar. Would that be possible? |

I really like this little app. And although I prefer this brand new menu icon, I am also partial to an icon switch between night and day—however the previous black sun looked too much like one of those bonus bursts. Regardless, this is a fun, friendly app to have around, even though it won't be used it too frequently. Thanks! |

Wonderful but really, must the "me-dot-com-whatever" watermark appear in the actual "fantasy" of pretending my laptop is linked to the Main Computer onboard??? Such a spoiler and an eyesore -- can't it be turned off? Wouldn't it be enough to just show it perhaps in the Options' window -- then perhaps I'd appreciate it. As of now, I most certainly don't. |

it may show itself as efficient, but it was using quite a lot of CPU (the animations in my solitaire game were choppy). Wish Google provided an uninstaller 'cuz there were many associated files involved -- I may have missed something. |

Just learnt about Doodim from a Mac site's top ten GUI apps or something and I'm really enjoying it except that I can't seem to drag clippings or a window's frame icon onto the desktop; must deactivate Doodim first (from the handy menu). However, I doubt we'll see much change in this handy GUI tool -- when was it last updated? 2002?! |

Not that I would use all menu items but from the few I would use I'm only using Process Tamer because of it's single icon in the menu bar -- I'm on a laptop, not a 30-inch display. |

Drawing a marquee, Photoshop in my case, invokes it. I always slow down to a crawl when drawing the latter half of a marquee, as I contemplate precisely where I want it to close (it's easier to begin a marquee precisely where you want it to start. lol). Then, just as I'm about to release the mouse at precisely the right spot, POP HELLO LET-ME-ANNOY-YOU appears the contextual menu. Real pain. I have to turn Finger Snap off when doing PS. I haven't tried it a pen program... |

That's what I figured. But why the subtext under the menu items? hence no need for multi-lined spacing -- once the menu items are seen and/or investigated, there's no longer any need to be reminded explicitly what each item represents afterwards. In other words, I'm sure most Mac users know already what the Maintenance Scripts are, and what Utility stands for, and Cleaning, etc. BTW -- I luv MainMenu and the icons that go with the menus. Thanks. |

I opened three finder windows but it will only tackle the last two windows to work with. More than two isn't possible? Also, perhaps a Preferences' panel, as BMonkey suggested, with options to hide/show the sidebar, choose icon/list views, etc. would add to its functionality. Using Butler, I've created a menubar item. Great fun. |

When selecting multiple files (as I discovered -- such as, to send them all to the Trash), and the cursor remains put on any one of the selected files (such as, to switch to the keyboard to Command-Delete, or to Open), and if FinderPop's Control-Free is active, a single file of the multiple selection will become highlighted, the rest will loose their selection, and a hovering contextual menu (especially bothersome if a folder is selected among the multiple selected files: the folder's contents will be displayed) and a hovering contextual menu will promptly appear. (But on other occasions the control-free's automatic contextual menu does not *stick*, obliging a repeated, sometimes several repeated actions with the cursor). What I have to remind myself when selecting several files is to move the cursor AWAY from the multiple selection before switching to the keyboard or whatever. Is this normal behavior? I don't recall the old FinderPop from System 8/9 exhibiting this... |

And what if you don't wear Nike or lug a pod around? The upgrade worth the download? Sometimes Apple makes me feel like an incredibly cheap inferior consumer. Still, I've always preferred Adidas or New Balance, and a singular, full-force focus when I jog. |

I'd very much like to keep ShelfMenu in my menu bar except that I can't stand the icon -- trivial perhaps, but consider that its visibility is 100% permanent. I'd like to see a choice for Apple's minimalist style of icons that are solid black/white, thick lines and/or fills -- the grey representing an altered state. I think I'll try my hand at going into the MenuIcon.gif file, if you won't mind. |

I really wanted to keep using FX, but for some reason, after trying previous beta versions, FX kept duplicating certain fonts and putting them in separate font files. So I might get an italic with a bold and a bold italic style, but if I also wanted to activate the regular style, it wouldn't let me because the regular also has the bold italic! Either I activate the bold (along with the italic and bold italic), or activate the regular (without the bold)! I haven't read anyone else complaining about this. Why me? Granted, some of my fonts are oldish... But FontAgent never mixed things up as such. |

The reason why I can't use Safari Enhancer without a major bother is that I'm using an ad-blocker style sheet. I'd like to be able to change my link colours on the fly without underlines, but to do that I have to launch Safari Enhancer, quit Safari, pull out Safari Enhancer's style sheet, copy the code, open the ad-blocker style sheet, paste the code, go to Safari's preferences... Would it be possible for Safari Enhancer to add it's code in an existing style sheet? |

I've been running toPositionTheDock for quite a while that I can't even remember how I installed it. It has never caused any problems, or at least I've never suspected it to. My system is running 10.4.5. So what's been changed in this 0.2 version? Nothing's been noted in the discript. above -- are comments here saying that version 0.1 runs but not 0.2? |

I tried to retrace my tracks from the developer's site when I did somehow find an active d/l link a couple of days ago... but they obviously got wind of it 'cuz I can no longer find it. Anyway, I reverted to version 0.5.8. I'm not familiar with software design but the most obvious issue to hit the user is that I could never hook up with more than three hosts -- which limited my searches quite considerably. |

The damn thing brought down my system because "charpalette" refused to let it restart. So I couldn't force quit neither the Finder or Suitcase. I did a force-restart, held option down, and had a choice to boot into 9 or into my X on the external drive. After choosing 9, my mouse went on steroids. So instead of booting back into X, I decided to boot with the DVD and run Disk Utility. Everything seemed fine until I rebooted... then I crashed at the grey screen! Needless to say, I cursed the author and trashed CSD! |
