Very confusing since there's already an iSight utility called Iris. Here's the link to that utility: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/25493/iris |

Doesn't seem compatible with Leopard 10.5.3. Uses nearly 100% of the CPU. Tested on two different Macs. |

I love MailSteward, but the $20 "upgrade" to version 8 has me puzzled. It seems that the only new features are the new licensing/update scheme and the archive history. The rest of the features listed are bug fixes. Not sure I'm going to upgrade. The jury is still out on whether it's worth it or not. |

5 stars? Could please backup your review with examples of why it deserves 5 stars? |

You obviously have never heard of a screensaver called Fracture then. I have created some very beautiful desktop backgrounds with this program. Give me your email address and I'll send you an image I created with Fracture. It's not just the run-of-the-mill Julia and Mandelbrot types. |

You seemingly contradict yourself here. Big debts are your first two items. And broadband internet? Did you post your comment from dial-up, or did you use one the computers at your local library? |

When trying to update to 2.0.1, I get an immediate message stating "The were errors installing, please try again." Reinstalled from my original Halo UB disk, then tried the updater again, and I get the same error message. |

Looking at your past reviews/comments, one would think that the only program you like is Scrivener, while bashing everything that competes with it. Actually surprised that you didn't mention how much better it was than SOHO Notes! Sure glad your not overly opinionated. |

Lord Lightning: Can you back up your claim? Do you only have one or two notes to manage? SOHO Notes is a key part of our design business. We manage thousands of notes including databases of the serial numbers we own, business info, notes on design projects, etc. It also stores files, photos, pdfs, and websites, and all can be found quickly using the FlashNote feature. The DockNote feature is the most innovative feature of all the note-taking programs, and it adds an outstanding clipboard recording feature to boot. Version 5.7.1 was a bit buggy but still worked. I contacted the developer and they instantly sent me a beta to try, which fixed the problems. If your needs are simplistic, then I suggest looking no further than Apple's own Stickies, or even the free xPad. But if you need a complete note and file management system, then SOHO Notes is the best of the lot. I'd much rather drive a Sherman tank than ride a unicycle. After using 5.7.2 for the last few hours with no issues, I'm giving this 5 stars. |

Seems to me that with the dog-eat-dog competition of Quicksilver, Butler, and LaunchBar, that this app is going to have a tough time competing in its present form, especially considering the $16.95 price when Quicksilver and Butler are free. Quicksilver does it all for me. |

How does this compare with NeoOffice, which doesn' require X11? The new version of NeoOffice is pretty spectacular. Can anyone give some objective comparisons? |

Miguel, you could easily qualify as future candidate for a Darwin Award. I hope the staff here at MacUpdate forwards your info directly to Microsoft. |

And for us mere mortals, here's a viable solution, although not as elegant as Spanning Sync, but it's free: http://www.googletutor.com/2007/01/24/syncing-google-calendar-with-ical/ |

It's getting harder and harder to justify the $15.00 for this app when there are free programs out there like Onyx, IceClean, and MainMenu. Even TinkerTool System is a better value at $7.00. Cocktail is a good app, but the free competition should make the developer rethink his pricing strategy. |

You can purchase Art Text without having buy the license backup feature. Just deselect that line item when purchasing. |

I think maybe you're a little too old for this app. My 4-year-old daughter loved it. |

This could really be useful to me if the developer would add the capability to remember window positions and sizes. Until then, I'll still have to access Google Calendars through Safari. |

UB today! Hooray! This is a very nice app, and I've been using it for over a year now, and even when running through Rosetta, it was pretty fast. Some of the effects can seem "canned" or "cheesy", but overall, there's a lot to choose from when it comes to some pretty cool effects, and all without have to touch Flash. Well worth the money, and definitely a time-saver. |

Tried download the DMG for version 1.5 twice. Both times it gave me a "codec overrun" message and wouldn't open. |

I really like this and use it, but one thing I'd like to see is Gcal remember it's window position between closing and opening the app. |

Wow! Are you sure you want to charge only $139 for an XTension that scales? I hope this is a typo. You can get suites of XTensions that include a Scaling XTension for nearly the price of this individual XTension. |

Version 7.0.2 fixes our last remaining issues. This is a good update, and thank you for the Universal Binary. I especially like the ability of creating a gradient blend of 2 different colors where only one of the colors has transparency, Still easier and faster to use than InDesign CS2 which I can now dump off of our computers. |

Version 2.0.1 still has problems with QuicKeys. QuicKeys will lock up after choosing the "Choose Menu" button in creating a new macro. I've sent reports of this to Unsanity, but most of my emails to them go unanswered. I really wish they would fix this. At this point I need QuicKeys more than I need Unsanity's products, so off they go. |

For those of you who think this is a "joke", you might want to read a review by MacWorld here: http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/macgems/2005/04/screencleanerpro/index.php Just because Ambrosia put entertaining animations in it doesn't make it a joke or a hoax. It really does adjust the gamma of monitors. |

TypeIt4Me used to be the only show in town, but now there are a couple of others: Typinator, which has a of $19.99, and Textpander, which is free. I have been using Textpander for a couple of months, and must say that there is no justification in paying $27 for TypeIt4Me. Textpander is the best of the lot when you consider price, functionality, and integration with the OS. Textpander is also a preference pane, which what the others SHOULD be. Before I get flamed by the users of TypeIt4Me, remember, this is my opinion, and I have used all three. |
