The game now works on mac, but you have to go to their forums and look at their guide for Mac OS X Installation (url: http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=14416&boardid=32&styleid=3&sid=e3a48efbbd515db2e6d22670d28e502b )

This should get you up and running in no time. I'm running the game on a dual 1.42ghz G4 and OS 10.4.6; It runs fine.
