Have u tried some other dmg files to see if this issue doesn't simply come from your system or your way of downloading ?

It seems to me that you are not facing a big issue... at least it's something easy to solve, i just need few more details.

What is your os (10.5 ?)

Can u tell me where is your file (the one you wanted to send) after the error message ?

Have u tried with other files ? Other recipient folder ?

Which OS are u running ?

Do you log as root on your Mac ?

If you spotlight "MagicMailFolder_pref.txt" - do you get something ?
