I'm shocked by the high upgrade price. As a registered user of both version 1 and 2 I still cannot see much improvement to the earlier versions apart from the GUI and some speed gain. Furthermore, the app has lost ground to iTunes, which now does pretty much the same job... and in my opinion much better. The developer puts out an upgrade very two years or so... without ever fixing existing bugs or replying to customer feedback in between. I've had enough. Buyer beware. |

Which is why developers get away with this scam. I'm sorry, but the only way to see that the apps are identical is to install them. There's no hint otherwise, even on the company's website. Ask yourself why this is so. |

Aaargh.... it's the horrible NetShade in disguise under a new name and with another company. There should be a warning somewhere about these practices on MacUpdate when developers rename their apps in order to get rid of bad reviews and ratings (see for yourself under "NetShade"). |

I registered iVolume at version 2 and reported various problems years ago. They were never fixed. Overall, support and development for the app was literally non-existent. As you can read from the other reviews the app itself isn't really convincing either. I've got no idea what has changed under version 3 but won't update for $20. Way too pricey. Done the mistake once, won't do it twice. |

This app used to be called Freeze Frame. An application that never truly received much development and stopped in its tracks to fully exploit its potential. So, months later we get Bokeh, a version 1.0, and a significantly higher price tag. What's new and different? What's changed? Other than automatic updates I cannot see any changes. And what's with a decent upgrade offer for registered users of FreezeFrame? |

Terrible pricing philosophy. $99 for an upgrade is too much, given that the changes to this app are minor. I use OmniGraffle at times, but not enough to warrant this investment. More appreciation of its loyal customers would do Omni good and I despise their recent 'fundraising tactic.' |

The reply to your answer is posted as reply to my answer by Softpress on this site. End of January or so. And yes, you've been fooled as I have into buying a now obsolete version 4. |

Nice to see Unsanity return to life... but is there any app that doesn't crash under Leopard with the new haxies installed? |

So, product manager, almost 1 1/2 years after your post we still have no update to fix FinalDraft 7 on the Mac. Don't even think in your wildest dreams that anybody of us will pay for a version 8, knowing that 7 never really was bugfree. Nor was 6. I'm eyeing Mariner's Montage, and so should you. Both in customer service and functionality of the app. |

These are the same practices as those employed by Softpress (Freeway Pro 4 featured on MacZot, then two weeks later announcement of version 5 as paid for upgrade), RapidWeaver 3.5 featured everywhere with paid for upgrade to version 3.6 (probably the most appalling move by any developer), and now Yazsoft going from version 4 to 5 just weeks after a massive sale on MacHeist. Go figure. To Yazsoft: I've still running a bug reported first with version 2, whereas a pop-up shows asking whether I want to "add a new download." This bug has NEVER been fixed throughout version 3 and 4! |

All of Unsanity's products are not compatible with Leopard. Since the release of Leopard there has been NO communication as to if and when their apps are being updated. The website is out of date and the last blog entry on it stems from November 2007. Obviously, nobody at Unsanity cares about customer support... which is a shame, because I for one have strongly supported this company and registered almost every single one of their products. |

Great, I purchased FreewayPro on 19-Dec-07 and only three weeks later they release version 5, allowing only customers who purchased AFTER 1-Jan-08 a free upgrade. It's business practices like these that put software companies like Softpress on my blacklist. Surely somebody at the company must have known about this and could have issued some form of statement 2-3 months in advance. That's called best practice and customer service. |

I've purchased SpanningSync a while ago. Most of the time it didn't work, crashed, and was slow as molasses. Customer Support is barely existing, coming up with all kind of excuses and rather unwilling to further improve the app before version 2 (address book syncing for example?). I've just purchased a premium membership with Plaxo.com and the service is top-notch, with features that make SpanningSync run for its money. Speaking of which, Plaxo is just $49 per year! |

I think the ease of use should be improved. The only case where I'd need this app is when email to somebody else... who'd have the client installed or go to the website to install it. Who's doing this? Nobody! Especially in the PC world. Excuse me, can you download a client to your corporate PC to read my file? Forget it. For personal use on my own files I stock to Knox... for all else I continue to look around. |

Tried this for a while... but it couldn't make heads nor tails out of my iTunes library. Mixed classic with rock, analyzed songs with double the BPM rate et al. In the end I found it too much of a hassle to have to correct songs manually by halving their BPM. Give it a whirl, but in my opinion it needs to improve its accuracy dramatically before becoming a useful tool. |

Path Finder is great... but it is not a Finder replacement! The Finder will always come back to haunt you as soon as any contextual menu item is invoked or any process handed over to the Finder. So, while in theory Path Finder could run on its own the reality is that most users have both the Finder and Path Finder running simultaneously. |
