GREGSGRAPHICS SUNDOUDOU just read my mind. Other than scheduling maintenance tasks automatically, please tell us what this app offers that we can't get with Onyx. (Version 4.0.3)

DANA SUTTON You write of "other than automatic scheduling" what does Cocktail have that Onyx doesn't? as if scheduling's no big deal. Sorry to disagree, but I think that's a very big deal indeed. For a Mac user, there ought to be no dirtier word in the English language than "manually" and I wish more software developers (the authors of Transmit, for example) would get this through their thick skulls. In this case, it's very comforting to know that once a week Cocktail is doing its stuff after I've gone sleepy-bye, and I don't have to worry about the possibility of forgetting to run it periodically. KBEAT The most significant difference between the two apps is developer support. As soon as a new version of OSX is released, a new version of Cocktail, with compatibility updates, is released. If a problem with Cocktail is discovered by users, the developers jump on it very quickly. Contrast this with OnyX which has been languishing since 10.5.2 and is unusable for many. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. I bought my Cocktail license years ago and have enjoyed great support and quick updates. One can debate the necessity of such apps, but if you decide to employ one, you'll find no better than Cocktail. (Version 4.1.3)

WALRUSCP I have to add that I have found Onyx, in the past, to be much buggier than Cocktail. With this kind of app, I will pay some $$ to have a stable product versus a free, buggy version. (Version 4.1.5)

GREGSGRAPHICS Another good update to a kick-ass product. The Finder may be good for your grandma, but for Mac power users it's like putting out a forest fire with a squirt gun. Well done Cocoatech! (Version 4.8)

Netscape Navigator | Jun 5 2007 |
PENNYHEAD1 IE didn't kill Netscape, they just stopped supporting Mac. Maybe now that Apple computers are selling better, Netscape wants a piece of the pie. I used their software and remember looking for a new browser after they "dropped" Macs. For whatever reason they're back, I don't care. (Version 9.0b1)

GREGSGRAPHICS Doesn't seem to work in login/password fields... this is where it could really benefit me. (Version 2.2)

DELIGHT1 i believe that is due to security features apple put it, like the inability to to paste into those fields. (Version 2.2.1)

GREGSGRAPHICS I agree with Kaleo... a better UI and integration with the OS would make this app perfect. (Version 1.2.3)

iGTD | Mar 11 2007 |
GREGSGRAPHICS There is a GREAT need in my opinion for a GOOD piece of software to easily and efficiently implement the GTD methodology. Right now, there is really only one as far as I've found. I tried kGTD and found out about all the bugs and inconsistencies that their forum was filled with. I am currently using ThinkingRock (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22449). If it had a 'real' Mac UI, it would be just about perfect. I wish I discovered it before dropping $70 on OmniOutliner Pro (not to discount that app itself). This program (it seems) allows you to get all of your contexts, projects, and tasks listed... now what? There's nothing after that. If I finish an action, I want it to go away to a completed area or tab. Then, the app should show me what's next. I should be able to go to a calendar day (iCal syncing?) and say, "OK, what am I knocking out today?" Anyway, this app is a good start. I will be keeping an eye on it. As far as it being a complete GTD package though, it's not ready for prime time. (Version 1.0.2)

BARTEK BARGIEL Thank you for your comment. The "Completed" tab is a quite interesting concept, as you can see you can mark your actions as done so I may implement moving done actions to the Completed area. Regarding the iCal syncing and the "Calendar Day" view with actions - I guess it's not exactly compatible with iGTD methodology... Your next actions are not assigned to any particular date - if you have any task for any particular day it should be placed in iCal directly. But I may think about adding a new feature: to choose an exact date for a task (it will be placed in iCal as an event) or to choose a due date (task will be placed in iCal as To Do). Anyway please do not forget it is the 1.0.x release -there's much to do... and I'm really focused on end-user's feedback. So please feel free to e-mail all your ideas and suggestions to igtd@bargiel.home.pl (Version 1.0.2)

GREGSGRAPHICS I have used the demo of this and honestly, I don't see a dramatic enough difference to warrant buying it. I've seen early reviews of it at version 2.X where you had to save the file in .STN format in order to get the results. Now, you don't have to apparently. The results I'm getting are hardly noticeable from what PhotoShop was doing (I was resizing 96dpi images 600%!). Does anyone know if I'm missing anything? (Version 4.1)

GREGSGRAPHICS BUYER BEWARE! If you plan on upgrading your Mac OS version (which will also update Safari), while you have this installed, then you may plan on buying a new copy of this product after the update. When I went from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7, it apparently "broke" the link to the license. Fine I thought. I will go get the Saft update, re-register it, and all will be well. I was pointed to the developer's registration page where I put in my PayPal number. It did not recognize my account. I emailed him about this and gave him my info. He never checked to see why my info wasn't working. He just kept sending me a url to a registration page, which, as I said, didn't work. After trying everything and playing "email tag" for a week, I just told him, just send me the file directly or I will need to request a refund. No response. This is poor service and just plain unprofessional. Shame on you. (Version 8.3.4)

MUDFLAPPER I'm sorry, but I've received nothing but FANTASTIC customer service from this developer. Your problem has to have been a rare occurance. Give the developer a chance to make things right before you start flaming. (Version 8.3.6)
