About gods_clown
A Macintosh user since 1989, I just can't see why I would chose another platform if it wasn't for the games' factor and this factor is not big enough to overshadow the use of a Mac. With my Mac, I have a relation made of trust and conviviality; and the design makes you a proud owner, almost like being the parent of a bright and beautiful child.

GODS_CLOWN  My excuses to the developer. I updated Amnesty Singles to the last version which allows to have the info panel in the converted WorldRadio.app; therefore we can add radio streams in the WorldRadio.app as we can do in the widget.

(troubleshooting my face which is overblushing right now ;-) )

GODS_CLOWN  Forgot to say for those who want to edit the widget to add personal choices of radio streams --if you have made it in an application with Amnesty Singles. The file to edit with Wcode (or other applications of this sort) is "wrdefault.js".

Path is: WorldRadio.app --> right click with your mouse (or ctrl + click) --> show contents (afficher le contenu du paquet) --> contents --> ressources --> WorldRadio.wdgt --> open with Wcode or alike.

GODS_CLOWN  Works great, except it does not keep the radios added when you make it in an application with Amnesty Singles.

Although with Wcode, I edited the widget contained in the now WorldRadio.app and added my radio stations, now it works perfectly :-)

I prefer it to use QuickTime which is more processor hungry.

Thanks

Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner

GODS_CLOWN  The developer added TTC to the menubar which MainMenu already had for long. I have nothing against TTC, but MainMenu is my favorite.

MainMenu even won me over Onyx which I used before. A simple and complete solution, if it was not for the optimizing broadband feature that you can easily tweak yourself.

Paying for TTC seems a fair thing to do to reward the developer for his work, but with so many good free utilities out there... well, you use those instead!

Yes, it is also included in TinkerTool System, in Maintain1 Pro (I like this one as Maintain1 brings you in the Terminal; and even iif you only have to enter your password and chose between Yes - No - Quit, you can see more in details what is the process of optimizing a connection); Mac Pilot and Tiger Cache Cleaner have it also...

And finally there is a one-task application, like PimpMyOSX is,and it is BroadbandOptimizer 1.5. I have never read or heard of bad comments about BroadbandOptimizer 1.5 and what more? It always has been FREE!

So what do we have here? A one-task application that is $40, and if you add up the price of the four multitasks applications listed a few lines higher, you get the four for around $45.

I guess someone has to analyze the market in which this someone plans to sell his/her product.

An unjustified high price makes the product look overestimated and can lead the consumer to become wary of any other application the programmer might create.

I have no complaints about PimpMyOSX, but I just can not see why I or any other person would pay $40... it does not add up ;-)
