GMACKENZ  Interesting, but only if you are not trying to maintain the space savings of using FLAC in the first place.

You might as well just convert the FLAC files to Apple lossless with XLD. I was hopping this would allow me to skip that step, but this application simply converts the FLAC into larger sized WAV files and puts them on a virtual drive.

GMACKENZ  Out of all the alternatives to Front Row, I think this app has the best potential to far surpass it.

I am a long time user of XBMC on the original XBox and just recently moved my XBox upstairs for my wife to use as I now use this application for almost all of my home theater needs.

I have nothing but the highest admiration for Elan (and the others who've joined the development efforts) to make XBMC a more mac-like application from the ongoing main Linux-porting efforts.

Once python script support is fully stable, one of the final missing pieces will be in place and I could recommend this application for everyone. As of version 0.45, it is pretty stable and handles most media you can throw at it.

(I also loved this project so much I sent $$$ for many beers to Elan.)
