GERRY555  I use MTR 2.6.6 to rip the entire DVD, compress with DVDReMaster down to 4.7 gigs, then use Toast Titanium 6 to burn data DVDs (on the cheapest DVD-R brands I can find) using the DVD-ROM (UDF) tab, and I heven't had a failure yet. They all seem to play fine on standard DVD+TV players. However, I don't know whether it makes a difference, but I also have Tiger, now 10.4.5, but 10.4.2 worked fine, too. Jaguar my be less reliable, though I'm guessing...

GERRY555  Yes, you need a dula layer burner to burn dual layer DVDs. Theyre so cheap now I was amazed - I got a Pioneer 110D, which does all the standard Superdrive stuff, too. BUT the dual layer DVD balnks are very expensive, so I compress DVDs to 4.7Gb with DVDReMaster - commercial software but so-o-o good.

GERRY555  Very pleased with MTR 2.6.6. There is some talk in the guidance notes that you need to have two folders, a VIDEO_TS folder and an AUDIO_TS folder (that is empty). True. I was pleased to find that both folders are created (copied!) by MTR with all the Video files faithfully copied, too. Less full guidance on what to do if the files exceed the size of your DVD blank, but then that's not what MTR is for....
