Netflix Freak
Sep 5 2008

GEOPICK  I think NetFlix should make an effort to support third party developers who want to enable client access to their service. Freak was an early, useful tool. It would be great to see something like this for the iPhone, if it doesn't already exist.

Bee Docs Timeline 3D
May 13 2008

GEOPICK  I have and like the standard version of Timeline. The 3D version has some interesting possibilities, but the downloadable demo only shows you the one trick - foldout labels. For a $25 sidegrade, it's a little hard to justify the investment for minimal effects. What about pop-out and/or tilting events? Warping of the entire timeline field? Putting an event on a bulge in the timeline background?

ANDY33  Finally we have a couple of apps to make timelines on the Mac without resorting to full blown management systems. This one makes nice, clean timelines, with some limitations described in other posts.

1Password
Oct 11 2007

ANDY33  This is a superb application for secure password entry and web forms interactions. But I use Web Confidential. WC is clunky and not updated often, but it does allow me to save in an encrypted database much more than passwords, software serial numbers for example. I actually use that feature much more often than password entry. Carefully evaluate 1P and see if it fits your workflow. For the price, even discounted, it doesn't appear to be a replacement for Web Confidential.
