TV Forecast
Mar 6 2009

GBOUDREA  You can follow the developments here:

http://www.bigbucketblog.com/

In particular, this post has the details:

http://www.bigbucketblog.com/2009/03/02/tv-forecast-widget/

Until Matt releases a fix, I posted my own fix on my website:

http://www.pommepause.com/online_files/tv_forecast_thetvdb.html

I'm using TheTVDB.com as the data source instead of the unstable TV.com source the widget normally use. It's also much faster to refresh (once data is cached).

Cheers.

GBOUDREA  If you can give me a small 'made-in-paint' image of what you'd like the widget to look like, with th correct dimension, I guess I could create a quick 'smaller' option from that and make it available using a checkbox in the prefs.

Front Row Enabler
Oct 20 2006

GBOUDREAU  You can get this file back by using Pacifist on the pkg file from the 10.4.8 update downloaded from Apple.com

And the way to make FrontRow Enabler work with 10.4.8 is explained here:

http://www.pommepause.com/online.html

Good luck,

GBOUDREAU  There's my own webpage on which I explained my procedure to end up with a valid 10.4.8 FrontRow:

http://www.pommepause.com/online.html

Quite a long read, but I added a link at the top of my article to link directly to the file needed to install on 10.4.8

Check the 'official' FrontRow Enabler website (if it's up) before you use this; Andrew Escobar might have released a newer version compatible with 10.4.8 since this post.

GBOUDREAU  Here's how to get it working on Mac OS X 10.4.8:

http://andrewescobar.com/frontrow#comment-9567

This will work *only* in 10.4.8 - don't use that if you are using anything else but 10.4.8!

GBOUDREAU  If your TV provider is supported by XMLTV, then yes, probably.

I know some Australian users of XMLTV have issues with Over the Air digital (DVB), but if you use standard cable or such, I don't think there will be any problem.

GBOUDREAU  Thank you for your feedback.

I'll be publishing a 0.9.1 version which fixes the URL in the ReadMe (and Installer) and the directory permission to make config.inc.php easier to edit.

I'll add an additional step in the EyeTV instructions about the channels, indeed.

Thanks again,

- Guillaume

GBOUDREAU  Using EyeTV for some time now. I was tired of waiting for Elgato to add EPG data for Canada, so I did it myself.

I detailed how I achieved it here: http://www.pommepause.com/online.html

If anyone wants to try it, email me and I should be able to get you EPG data for your TV provider in Canada. Address: epg att abuserz dot com
