GMAX Is this really worth $25? To make turn your icons to images FOR FREE, just copy (cmd + v) your selected icon from the Finder, open up Preview and choose File -> New from Clipboard. You can then save out the icon as any image file that Preview supports. Even supports large 512px icons in Leopard. (Version 1.3.1)

NATEVW @GMAX - I apologize if you found Tagalog when you were looking for something else, and hope we didn't waste too much of your time. We try to always be clear in all our descriptions that this program is for geotagging photos using a tracklog. @SOMNAMBULIST - You are exactly right. Although we hope users will enjoy the play-on-words, we pronounce this app's name as "TAG-a-log", instead of like the language name. (Version 1.0b2)

Last I heard (and I may be mistaken here) the Philippines did NOT have a national language. True Tagalog is the dialect used in most official documents but I think the Cebuano's made quite a commotion when this came up. Their dialect is actually spoken by more Filipinos than Tagalog hence the complaint of Tagalog being called the "National Language" Still, Not really a good name for an application as any Google search will bring up the Filipino dialect and not the app. (Version 1.0b4)

NTFS-3G | Jan 28 2009 |
GMAX NTFS-3G is incredibly unreliable when it comes to writing to data to NTFS volumes. The nags and convoluted process of mounting "unverified" NTFS drives is also frustrating. Paragon's NTFS for OS X is a much more dependable (though not free) solution for those who take NTFS compatibility seriously. Not worth it for a free extension. (Version 2009.1.1)

Would you mind telling the NTFS-3G team what kind of unreliable behaviour you have experienced? A proper problem report is always more constructive. Visit the NTFS-3G forum ( http://forum.ntfs-3g.org/viewforum.php?f=4 ) for communicating directly with the developers and submitting problem reports. (Version 2009.1.1u1)

TIM.DEHRING I don't understand how this is unneeded, but another browser is welcome? There are a few photo editors (iPhoto and Shoebox come to mind), yet there is Firefox, Safari, Camino, Opera, Shiira, SeaMonkey, etc...and everyone still wants Chrome to come out? (Version 3.0.0.310)

PENGUIRL In Chrome, each tab runs independently. This means that if one crashes, it doesn't crash the entire browser, and also should keep CPU & memory usage from getting out of hand. This is a feature that no other Mac browser has, and why so many people want Google to release a Mac version. (Version 3.0.0.310)

SCOTTISHWILDCAT If your browser crashes a lot, maybe you should use a different browser, or write better code. I can't remember the last time Safari crashed on me. Even when it does, it's trivial to restore its pre-crash state, either with its built-in restoration feature or a free plugin like Glims. (Version 3.0.0.310)

PENGUIRL My browser, OmniWeb, does not crash a lot. In fact it's very rare that it crashes. But OmniWeb, like all Mac browsers including Safari, does become more of a memory hog the longer it runs. If Google's Chrome is designed in a way that does not do this than I would like to try it. (Version 3.0.0.310)

MTCOBRA For me, the key to any browser is whether or not 1Password will work with it. I love iCab (the Taxi) and use it often, but Safari is still my work horse. Neither crashes, ever. (Version 3.0.0.310)

FOLLEREC Go to VLC's website and download it again. They made a mistake and included the older 0.9.3 binaries. They are now rereleasing the correct version 0.9.4 for PowerPC in the PowerPC and Universal Binaries packages. (Version 0.9.4)

DSANDLER The free alternatives have a number of limitations. Standalone apps must be started manually; they don't work unless you remember to use them. Java applets can't draw over the entire screen, and a great deal of image persistence on Macs occurs in areas a web-based tool can't touch (e.g. the menu bar and Dock). Finally, I'm not aware of any other software that uses high-contrast moving patterns like the ones pioneered by LCD Scrub, which, in my own personal experience, have worked where other techniques and tools did not. MACUPDATE ADMIN "...why is this a demo?" Because the developer does not make it perfectly clear on the website for this app whether it is free or not. "Is the developer planning to charge cash for software that is a blatant copy of something else?" You should at least do a little research before making accusations. The first words on the developer's website for this app: "I really like CoverFlow, this is what it should be like when browsing your music library. But I felt there were some things missing from that app, so I decided to make my own. I call it CoverTunes..." (Version 0.7)
