FRODO_LIFE  worst apple system release in years.

Rolled this out now on six machines and never had software crashing that frequently from iPhoto, Freeway, Photoshop etc.

I was really happy when apple said no new features but stability and usability improvements :-)

I wonder what apple did over the past year??? Leopard is more stable then SN

1. iPhone app so you can track and enter data when not at home

1. No way to choose my preferred text editor like Coda

Just had this happen to me and it took me a while to recover files with a different method as the recovery tool in MacHider always crashed.

FRODO_LIFE  5.0.8 does not open any disk images always comes up with an error message and hence stuffs any software updates which are updated trough an update engine.

FRODO_LIFE  hm face recognition is pretty average and very unreliable comes up with many wrong faces even after training 100 pics or so.

Also for people with bigger libraries it's a lot of work the tag the faces and pics.

took some shoots with my Iphone and pictures taken in the same office give two quite different geo tag addresses.

in my opinion not worth buying the update.

very nice update actually for the first time started and finished a project in pages.

However PDF exports quality is lousy the PDF's don't look half as good as if I export a inDesign documents.

the text is not really smooth doesn't matter what font I choose.

It also seems odd that I cant have different columns on different pages on the same document (at least could not figure out how to do it)

FRODO_LIFE  good FTP client if it would not delete your files.

Transmit has the habit to first delete a folder on your server and then replaces it which made me lose all my shopping cart settings.

Say you need to update your cart and replace the folder admin I delete the config.php file from my updated folder and then drag the folder which does not contain the config.php file on my server so what does transmit do it deletes the whole folder on my server and replaces it with my new one without the config.php file.

Any other FTP client I have used like Captain, Yummy, Cyberduck will only replace the existing files but will not delete the whole folder first which also deletes your config file.

So be very aware.

FRODO_LIFE  I had a chance to work a bit more with the software and hence updated my previous review from 2 to 4 stars.

To receive 5 stars the software would need the ability to send invoices via email straight out of Invoice3, needs to polish the UI, have a better manual and the price would need to be dropped to below $100.

The developer is very responsive and attends matter very quickly.

FRODO_LIFE  Yes I have to agree the developer is very quick to respond and fixed the issue within hours, I also got to use the software a bit more now and think it's a good piece of software and does the job.

What I would still need is the ability to email invoices from Invoice3 directly as this is a big draw back.

Also I bought it as part of a bundle for $59 or so and that is a fair price over $100 I think is still a bit steep.

FRODO_LIFE  it's getting usable, I bough omni web over a year ago but realised quickly that it was not ready for prime time and stopped using it.

I just downloaded latest version and this one is working actually quite well.

However it uses consistently around 90% of my quad G5 processors just by running in the background with 6 tabs open. In comparison Firefox uses 12% with 10 tabs open.

Excellent Software like Rapid Weaver cost $49.95 and I would say is far more complex to program.

FRODO_LIFE  I bought omni web after reading good reviews about it however after using it for two weeks I deleted it again from my HD for the following reason:

Unstable it crashes the most from all web browser I use (Navigator, Camino, Safari, Firefox)

Memory Hog: it uses a ridiculous amount of memory in comparison to other browsers

Compatibility: Many web site like Pleask Control Panel, Etrade, Westpac, Gmail are renders very badly or don't work at all.

Tab Implementation: needs a lot of mouse movement to switch tabs not very user friendly especially on 30" screen

FRODO_LIFE  lucky you then, working with FW for about 5 years now and with Apple Mac for about 15 years an FW 4 is one of the worst pieces of software I have seen during that time. I stopped counting bugs when I reached 100 and if there would be a collection of work arounds to circumvent bugs, inconsistencies or just bad GUI design it would be as comprehensive as the (missing) proper manual. But I guess it comes down what you expect from software if you have a lot of time, don’t mind frequently contacting support or the ridiculous mailing list forum where you cant search, don’t mind a often very user unfriendly GUI with little regard for usability, have no FW3 projects to upgrade and don’t make your living with web design and work on a single project then you might be not put of that much with FW. But that’s not me… So for the time being FW lost me.. Unfortunately, it could be such a great program
