OmniGraffle Pro

FROBOZZ  You can always create your own stencils in OmniGraffle. As a UI designer, I created my own. In fact, you could probably take the old stencil from OmniGraffle 4.x and copy-and-paste it into a new stencil in 5.x.

Stencils are just small vector documents like any other OmniGraffle document-- except they have only one canvas.

****.

FROBOZZ  If you have a TiVo, this software makes it easy as pie to convert and view your video on a PSP, iPod, or burn to DVD. For that alone, it is worth the purchase price. The upgrade pricing is a tad expensive, but it's really the only game in town.

I have also used Toast to make video slideshows from my wedding photos-- and it worked a LOT better than competing products.

I hear the gripes about upgrade pricing but if you do a lot of video conversion between DVD's, TiVo, and portable video devices it is still worth the price and easy to use.

ODYSSEUS  It's not really the only game in town for these conversions. What about VisualHub and DVDRemaster, to name two?

Power20

FROBOZZ  I have owned Power20 and Power64 for over 5 years now and I have never regretted my purchase. Power20 faithfully reproduces the Vic20 for anyone wishing to relive those days. If you are looking to emulate a Vic20, this might be the best option on any modern computing platform.

FROBOZZ  This, along with Power20, are the finest examples of Shareware EVER. I registered both after about 10 minutes of trying different game files-- every one worked! Worth every penny. I own literally hundreds of C64 and Vic20 games and these pieces of software run them all. I can't tell you how much this brings me back to the days of old. A++ for the developer. I really can't say enough good things about it!

Any chance for an Intel version for my new MacBook Pro?

MACUPDATE ADMIN  FWIW, the developer's site says: "Power64 is optimised for PowerPC-Macs, but will work fine on Intel-Macs too."
