FREDDUCKER I have to agree with Toomis on one thing, which is the fact that it feels safer to be able to try an app from the disk image before installing it. Because sometimes you're gonna trash it right away because you notice the app is junk from the first time you try it. But I also understand that some people find it unacceptable to leave a comment based on that... it's not an issue worth fighting for, but maybe somehow it shows something about the app's CPU and disk space requirements? FREDDUCKER Thank you for fixing the issue on os x 4.11 with QuickFill. I believe the QuickFill option would work a lot faster if one didn't have to chose between Amazon US/Amazon FR/Amazon DE... because in the end it's gonna be a list and you'll have to search through it to find the correct version you want to add OR it's gonna have no results and you have to change the database and search one more time... whereas if all the databases were searched at the same time then you'd know when to give up when you have no results. FREDDUCKER This is very close to being pure effing bliss! I had been hoping for something like that for a while, and I'm really glad it now exists. BUT it's far from being perfect for the following reasons: -i would have loved a fully-fledged application, not a flash/director/whatever application with a crappy icon -the window of the application is sometimes "transparent", i.e. you will be in finder with the app window right behind the folder window you're looking at, and clicking inside the finder window will add notes on the app's music sheet window behind it (??) -it consumes a lot of CPU for an app that used to work on a Super Nintendo (and in a fuller version on nintendo than here!) (maybe making it a non-director app would solve that?) -if you're gonna run this kind of program on a computer, maybe the best idea of them all would be to add a feature that couldn't have been available on a SNES cartridge: the Save function (or Export), you know, so you can send it to a friend, create a file, not just save it within the application where you only can enjoy it -exporting sheet music or saving the project to be able to have multiple projects at the same time and go back to rework them would definitely be a plus as well -maybe some shortcuts would be nice? Usually the space bar plays and stops on mac computers, and I think it wouldn't hurt to add this as well. That said, I believe the programmer's only wish was to bring the music composer from MP onto the Mac at any cost, which they did, and at least the app doesn't crash and does what you can expect from it. Adding the little modifications stated above, though, would rank it among the best freeware apps of the mac for creative (and retarded) mac people like me. (Version 2.0)

FREDDUCKER I don't think this app is going to be of much help for anyone who looks for music using the internet on a daily basis. It doesn't bring anything new to the world (especially not an application icon), and does nothing but automate launching your browser and pasting in google the name of the song you're searching for, and adding to the search field some mumbo-jumbo - probably in order to limit the results to music files, but doing so only increases the chances of the results being wrong or unrelated. FREDDUCKER I give up after 5 tries and almost an hour and a half... and I had just ONE encrypted mp3 to convert! It's obvious that for a lot of people this program crashes or stops working half-way through. The same happened for me. While some of the steps work fine, it's a real pain to have to restart the whole process (for example when you have gotten as far as copying the tracks onto a cd-rw and the program stalls, you'll have to redo everything from the beginning). This program could be good if you could chose what step to proceed to (1-gathering files, 2-burning them and most important 3-ripping them) without having to wait or restart over. And if it didn't crash or stall without giving you a reason. (Version 3.0)

It is a language that has so many difficulties and pitfalls, that even most French people don't speak it perfectly and sometimes cannot be sure of which gender a rarely used word belongs to. This program is aimed at French people, yes, maybe! And that's why it's extremely useful. You would rather have to question, why are 99 percent of the WWW's websites in English, while we still live in a world where English isn't everybody's mother tongue. There are tons of websites online that can help you with learning the basics of any language, but as usual with internet knowledge it is either limited, or remains on the surface of things. While continuing to hold down the mouse button, hit F12 (or whatever key you have assigned to activate the dashboard). FREDDUCKER A simple way to get rid of it: With the program called "Onyx" tick the box to securely delete what's in the trash. Put anything remotely "monitorer" in the trash. Click on "apply" in Onyx. There you go. (Version 1.5.1)

FREDDUCKER I downloaded Monitorer, and it didn't work properly. All the log files I have opened showed me that the files were saved AS IF I had set the wrong keyboard settings for example if I type in an email: "ask him what he means" Monitorer recorded: "qsk hi, zhqt he ,eqns". See the problem? Of course my email to them returned to sender with a "failure notice".

HALGUMBERT This tend to happen when a zip file is expanded with an older version of StuffitExpander. We're simple using Mac OS X's built in zip compression. (Version 3.3.2)

FREDDUCKER Hello - The version only runs for X version 10.3.9 (as read from the "read me" file... Still no good stuffing program for 10.2 or 10.1 to be found... shame. (Version 2.0.2)

FREDDUCKER The developpers seem to know something about humor, this shows in the "about" and "how to" windows, and in some menus, but they sure can't come up with a game that's fun to play. I've spent several dozens of minutes trying to understand how to play it, or trying to understand what was the point to it, and each time I ended up wanting to give it all up. I ended up simply giving it up, after trying to finish level 1 for about an hour. Very annoying and complicated. (Version 1.0)

Destiny Media Player | Mar 11 2006 |
FREDDUCKER This app plays mp3s very well, and the interface is easy to handle and simple to use. Nevertheless, I have deleted it because even although it takes up less RAM space than iTunes, it will convert every file played to the Destiny format... Let's say you want to read one of your mp3s with quicktime after it was played by Destiny, and since it was attributed to Destiny you won't be able to do that. Nothing in the preferences board disables that and I find this pretty sad they won't ask you if you want to attribute your files to the program, they'll just do it without asking. (Version 1.4.1)
