FRANCOLA Nice job on this so far! I very rarely want to do a full scan of the entire hard drive, so while I agree it should be one of the quick options to scan when starting DaisyDisk, I feel that at least the home folder should be an immediate shortcut as well. Ultimately, I think it would be nice to have the option to populate that initial list of choices of locations to search manually. (Version 1.0.1)

FRANCOLA Sorry you feel that way, but for me it is the only way I could get this result the way I liked it. There isn't any other application available to my knowledge that performs the the way this works for me. If you have any ideas to the contrary, I would love to hear them. I simply posted this so someone else in my position might be able to benefit as well. I have had numerous responses confirming that there are plenty of people that were in need of something like this as well. I am continuing to learn. I was just happy to be able to get this far and wanted to share it. (Version 2.3)

FRANCOLA Amusing that you are quite obviously the one going over the deep end with both of your comments. Also humorous that you feel that pontificating your ideas as to what should be done was the catalyst for my extra work and direction. I meant no harm to you either. I was simply a bit disturbed by your comment. I have only been playing with scripts for about a week now and I sincerely felt that I had laid out clear enough instructions for someone (like myself even) that doesn't know much about scripting. Take care, Frank (Version 2.3)

FRANCOLA As stated in the instructions, open (double-click) the FS folder once it is placed in the Applications folder and then adjust that folder (theone containing all of the FS docs) to your liking. You do not copy anything. Line 4. states: In the "Script Editor" window that opens titled "main", select the series of 4 numbers on line 3 (excluding the outer brackets) and then paste (⌘v) the contents of the clipboard. Meaning to (select) highlight and then paste over. The copy process is automated from the GFS script. You are simply pasting the results generated from the GFS script into the SFS script. I'm sorry, I know it might seem like a bit much to swallow, but with my limited knowledge of programming this is probably about as easy as I can get it. I am sure that once you slowly execute the process a time or two you will find it less intimidating. Hope that helps! :) (Version 2.3)

Finder Size & Position Scripts | Feb 6 2009 |
FRANCOLA Set a window to your liking with the scripts, move the FinderSize button to your toolbar and press it every time you are in a new window that does not yet have the properties that you desire. From then on said window will retain that size and position until changed. That should be easier overall then revealing hidden files and copying to each folder. If you mean a sort of batch process to copy the DS_Store file to all folders, I am not sure if that is possible. Hope that helps. (Version 2.3)

Finder Size & Position Scripts | Feb 5 2009 |
FRANCOLA These scripts don't lock you into anything. If you want to revert to the default Finder sizes you need to reveal Finder's hidden files and delete the ".DS_Store" file in any folder you wish to return to default size. There are many apps to do this. One of which is "Onyx", which will allow you to delete all of the ".DS_Store" files if you wish. Returning all of the Finder windows to their original state. I hope this relieves your "Trouble". :) (Version 2.2)

FRANCOLA I love the concept, but it is like reading a newspaper that someone keeps stealing the pages from before you can read them. Articles are constantly replaced before you can even get to them (should stay until you decide to remove them like every other practical newsreader) and there is no way to tell consistently what is new and what has been read. Nor can you choose to mark an article read or unread. Occasionally (almost randomly) you will see a blue indicator next to a few articles, but never with complete accuracy. These are features essential to a "newsreader". Nice idea, but unusable for me at this point. (Version 1.0.2)

I must say I agree with the last post on the functionality of this point. 2. At present, clicking on a folder in a menu reveals that folder, highlighted, within its container folder. Thank you so much for such a perfect little radio player! Any chance of getting a minimalist black & white version? ;)

Blue Screen of Death SS | Sep 4 2007 |
FRANCOLA It works fine, I would just like to crop out the white borders I am getting on the top 7 bottom so it looks more official. ;-) (Version 1.0)

AppTrap | Jul 7 2007 |
FRANCOLA It worked on a couple of apps, but ironically, it did not find anything when I moved "AppDelete" to the trash. Maybe needs a little more work. Nice idea though. (Version 1.0)

ForkLift | Jun 1 2007 |
FRANCOLA A very handy usefull app. Unfortunately it does not work with one of the tasks that I do constantly. I like to use the small icon at the top left of the info window to copy & paste a new icon or preview and that area in forklift is not functional. If that was an option I would invest! Burn | Mar 7 2007 |
FRANCOLA I love this program! Unfortunately, this latest verson crashed repeatedly when I tried to load an .avi for recording. I reverted back to an older version 1.62u and the problem was gone. Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing the growl notifications in action! I am quite sure what ever th problem is the developer will have a fix before long. My favorite burn program period! Thanks!
