FLYBOY  I don’t know what all this crap is about.

DW 4.1, released 3/08, has always worked with Leopard. At that time I burned a startup CD and it has always worked. No problems.

What this new, expensive version 4.1.1 does different is beyond me.

DN15  Note that the update is free. It's only expensive if you don't already own 4.x.

Application Switcher Menu

FLYBOY  Closing Pref pane does not hold settings. I have clicked on “Show menu icon in menubar” many times and it will not stick. Close pref pane, reopen and show icon in menu bar is not selected. This is Leopard I am trying to work with. No need to mention the problems with the last version.

FLYBOY  I am so happy to have this app back up and running. I missed my custom ringtones after upgrading my iPhone to v1.1.1. Got them back now with no fuss, no hassle.

FLYBOY  Did you have to request the new GCX6 license or are they being sent to everyone who purchased the bundle? If requested, can you point me to the location?

Horizon

FLYBOY  I attempted to give Horizon a try and downloaded the demo.

I know I am sometimes very dense, but I can’t figure out how to even get started with this app. Getting started in Help shows no result.

How to enter a balance, enter pmts, deposits, etc are not intuitive for me. I am undoubtedly missing the concept or something.

FLYBOY  I have downloaded it twice and each time Get Info shows it to be 0.8.0b1.

Can anyone verify theirs and see what they get?

FLYBOY  Nice little app when it works. BUT, it crashes a couple of times a day. This is the only app that causes me ANY problems. Don’t waste your money! Developer responded once to my cry for help but has been AWOL ever since. No response to emails.

Intel IMac 24 with 2 GB RAM, OS X 10.4.8, everything up to date.

FLYBOY  Ok, I give up. How do you open these files?

Get info states that they are Photoshop Element files but PE 4 will not open them, saying an unknown file type. (or something similar) Preview either.

Secrets, hints?

CMUVIOLIN  I used Photoshop to make them, that must be why it says the kind is "Adobe..." I don't know anyway of opening an icon in photoshop without taking an image of the icon (function + shift + 4) and opening the image then with photoshop

iTunes Alarm

*****

FLYBOY  This little application works. Setup is very simple. As the name implies, iTunes wakes you with the tracks you desire at the exact time you choose. It could not be easier. I have wrestled with Alarm Clock Pro for a long time, trying to keep it updated. I have had nothing but frustration with it and it cost you $20. ITunes Alarm is free and does the job beautifully. This morning my new Intel iMac waked from sleep and I was then awakened by George Strait, at the time I had set. Beautiful way to start the day. Great!
