FLOMET  This applies to Snow Leopard

I use Firefox as my default browser and when I installed Growl v1.2 I found that when I click on a link in mail it opens Firefox but does not focus on the window, I do not have this problem when using Safari as the dafault browser.

This is just a small bug but others might have this with SL

LIVINGS124  This is a result of Firefox building in an old version of Growl.

Safari Cookies
Apr 12 2009

FLOMET  Am I missing something as this program does not remember my favourite Cookies.

When I tick my favourite cookie boxes then set it to remove all non-favourite cookies when quitting Safari, I then open the browser to find all cookies have been deleted. I think that I will have to carry on using Cocoa Cookies until this is fixed.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

FLOMET  Installed Safari 4.0b1 and found that it crashes every time I try to open the browser so I have reported to Apple then reverted to 3.2.1 and found it to be OK.

I will have to wait for the next update then try again. Has any one else had this problem?

Regards

MACUPDATE.3.JELWELL  My crash at launch issues with Safari have been related to addons. Although I did not have that problem with 4.0.

Try removing and Safari addons you have.

Look here:

/Library/InputManagers

~/Library/InputManagers

/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins

~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins

Alternatively, you can check if your addon has a new revision. Check pimpmysafari.com to see if there are updates.

CYBORG9  Yup, Glims was the culprit all right. I uninstalled it and now safari 4.0b1 doesn't crash; seems seems to run without problems.

FLOMET  I installed version 1.0.0.260 and found the program would open but not sync any items, I then installed 1.0.0299 and found that the program won't even open. I have a MacBook Pro with the latest Leopard updates and an MDA Compact 3 phone running WM 5. Is it time for me to give up on this program as I have tried every version with no luck.

Apple MacBook/MacBook Pro Software Update
Dec 25 2007

FLOMET  Same for me, this update has not fixed the delay with the first key. Come on Apple fix it please as this is my first experience with a MackBook Pro 8 weeks old and has already been back to the shop for repair with a battery problem that took 8 days to repair . I am a very unsatisfied mac user at the moment.

FLOMET  I installed version 1.0.0.252b and found the same problem, when I connect the phone SyncMate opens then the password box pops up. I leave this blank as I don't use a password then everything stops and no connection is made. I am running the latest Leopard with Windows 5 phone.

It looks like it could be a great program if I could get it working.

Many Thanks
