FACEMAN If you are entering recipes from scratch (not importing them from another recipe program), this program is the first Mac-based cooking software program that is worth paying for. While there are some minor irritations (what program does not have those?!), after considerable use, I can enthusiastically recommend this software.
I do have one significant complaint about this software that pertains to the importing of recipes from other recipe software. While the software says it can import from other programs (I previously was using Cook'n), it does a very poor job of actually importing each recipe. I have an extensive recipe collection in Cook'n. After importing recipes into MacGourmet Deluxe, I found I had to manually go into EVERY recipe and make corrections. In many instances, the import would actually take a portion of one recipe and add it to an adjacent recipe. On other instances entire recipes would be omitted from the import. It would also place items in the wrong place within a recipe. This, of course, is totally unacceptable. My recommendation is that, if you have a large electronic recipe collection and unless you plan on manually editing virtually every imported recipe, this software may not be for you.
Aside from that importation issue, this really is a great software program.
