EVAL  To be clearer, the icon for this indicates the possibility of a joke/malware. The downloaded file after unzipping is called "HyperReader" not Stanza Reader. There is no "More Information" link/developer info. I'm sure that the use of "Stanza" in the name isn't legitimate, since Amazon bought them.

EVAL  What is the difference between iDrive and iBackup? These two seem to have identical software except for the logo. iDrive is significantly less expensive and offers more space, and seems to be actively updated. The iDrive website says both companies are owned by Pro Softnet Corporation. Does iBackup just continue to exist as a first marketing attempt?

EVAL  This is nice, but the same thing is free from Weather Underground without installing any software.

Go to http://www.wunderground.com/ , type in your postal code, and click Go. On the resulting page, right-click (or Control-click) on the ICAL icon on the right hand side of the page over from the location name, and choose Copy Link. Go to iCal, and choose Subscribe... from the Calendar menu. Paste the URL and click OK. You can change the title and refresh frequency in the following dialog. The resulting calendar can be sync'd with an iPhone or other iCal/SyncServices compatible device.

EVAL  I had to manually add the ACPI driver from the Windows XP CD in order to finish the hardware setup, and then Windows Activation worked.

EVAL  Apparently the manual upgrade process requires three restarts, and the failure message is unclear. Ignore it, and click OK, then manually start the upgrade process from the virtual CD, you will see the four stages proceed, one after each restart once you get the "Upgrade failed" error. I still had to manually install Parallel Tools after that (even though the upgrade screen indicated that it was doing this as part of step 4). Windows XP displayed an error saying that the hardware has significantly changed, and required re-Activation, which failed.

EVAL  I would hold off on upgrading until they have the issues fixed.

As others have reported, my Windows XP upgrade didn't complete automatically, the manual process isn't going as describe, and the troubleshooting guide is not providing the desired answers. I'm stuck at "Unable to upgrade the virtual machine." until support gets back to me.

It seems they are prepared for people to have this problem, rather than solving it before release.

EVAL  An update to the NetFlix site in the past week must have broken version 1.4. This doesn't work as of 5/10/2008 (perhaps earlier).

EVAL  Would love to have a more reliable DivX player than VLC, but this appears to be an early beta. The UI is promising, but the performance is very poor compared to VLC and even QuickTime player. Jerky playback, slow scaling.
