EMULAUNCH  As an owner of the original Pixadex I love the new integration of CandyBar. As of today I have over 8,000 icons in my collection and I can't imagine not having CandyBar to manage this collection.

As far as the upgrade price goes, I really have no problem with it and consider it a worthy investment for the application plus the amount of icons/wallpaper/dock skins which Iconfactory produces every year.

One feature I would ask is for smart lists to have the ability to detect dock skins and/or icons that have 512px resources.

EMULAUNCH  I have been very impressed with the progress on MAME OS X. Dave has done a great job at keeping the newest Mame source up to date. If your roms are not working, then more than likely they simply are just not up to date. The MAME core has changed quite a bit in the last year since MacMAME was lat updated so it is unlikely that it will ever be updated. Dave is pretty actively updating this app and is found on the mame forums quite a bit.

EMULAUNCH  There is a beta available from their website. http://www.volumelogic.com/beta/ Make sure you completely uninstall the old version before installing the new one. I thought I had and the beta didn't work. I made sure to run the uninstaller from the /Library/Logs/Volume Logic folder and then trashed the plugin found in /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/ and ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/

After installing the beta again, everything seems to be working just fine. I forgot I had missed Volume Logic. Yes I realize its changing the music, but hey it compressed music (AAC 192kbps) and an iSub and Apple speakers over here, it can use all the help it can get.

Right click on the application, select Show Package Contents. Under Contents/Resources/data replace the default.tff with another .tff file (obivoulsy you need to rename the new .tff file to default.tff).

EMULAUNCH  Nice to see this incorporated into iTunes itself. I wish they would have given the option to use Coverflow as a Visualizer so that when playing iTunes the albums would flip through as the music changed full screen. Right now I use JewelCase for this, but JewelCase only does one album at a time.

EMULAUNCH  A great little app. The included background images do a great job of using this app's features and can really set the mood for your desktop enviroment.

Second monitor would be nice I suppose, but I have my second monitor set to rotate calvin and hobbes strips so I don't really need that option (I am sure others might though).

EMULAUNCH  OmniWeb is based on Webkit which is what powers Safari. So any sites which have Ajax functionality in them should display correctly in Omniweb if they do in Safari (although not sure if OmniWeb is still using a new version of Webkit). If you have a specific site which is not working in Omniweb you should probably state which one it is to see if this can be fixed. You can also try and change under Site Preferences (right under the normal preferences) there is a drop down called Identify to Web Sites as: Omniweb. You can try and use Safari or Firefox in case some of these sites are explicitly detecting for a certain browser.

EMULAUNCH  This is only the second screen saver I have actually purchased. The space ship models are well done and the lighting and backgrounds are exceptional. Very well done and hope the developer keeps adding on more effects (the ones that are there are well done, but certainly more can be added). Explosions, blooms, different missiles, rays and so on.

EMULAUNCH  This really should be removed from Macupdate. Its essentially a krack for acquisition and this would not be up here if it was a krack for Call of Duty, Photoshop, LimeWire or any other big name software. Regardless if Acquisition's code is based on other open source software, you can tell a lot of work has been put into Acquisition's interface and functionality by David and he deserves to be able to charge for it if he wants to.

EMULAUNCH  One thing I have found nice about this app is that it writes on the desktop much like Desktastic does but with slightly smoother stroking. If they could build in some ways to control the smoothing of the strokes, an eraser quick button, and a way to hide the drawing (instead of just clearing) this would be appreciated.

EMULAUNCH  A great little app. 7z files are becoming increasingly popular in the windows and linux world. The compression is outstanding, in some case more that others. If you spend anytime uploading big files you'll soon realize that your cable/dsl lines are very limited (even if you pay the extra 15 bucks a month to comcast for extra upload speed) and every little bit helps. I really don't mind the gentle reminder for donations which pops up. Its not like you have to press ok or anything. It just subtly comes up and fades away much like a growl notification.

EMULAUNCH  All of Richard's emulators are full usable without EE. Some great new additions have been made to EE2 (such as icon creation) and I gladly paid my registration long ago (I was really surprised that I got a free upgrade). 95% of the work he has done on about 25 emulators is free of charge. EE simply adds some useful additions to all of these such as joystick support (something which can be added with other programs but is much easier using EE) and video filters.

EMULAUNCH  The best Nes emulator available for the Mac. You need emulator enhancer to make the best of all of Richard's emulators but its a small price to pay for all the hard that one person has done porting so many emulators to the mac.

I left Playstation in there so the day that you start PS games directly from the Finder then EMUlaunch will be able to launch them as well.
