By the way, why do other downloads from the MacUpdate site work when the referrer is blocked, just not MacUpdate Desktop? (Version 5.0)		0

MacUpdate Desktop	Nov 7 2009	EGAR I'm having trouble downloading version 5. I click the link to download and I'm directed back to this page. The problem exists on both Firefox and Safari. Is it me or is there something wrong with the link? (Version 5.0)		0

DP8 Please make sure that your are not blocking HTTP referrer, such as with "private browsing" or other internet security software - the download files hosted at macupdate.com require the referrer information so that we can control the huge bandwidth costs involved. If that doesn't work, please contact me- desktop@macupdate.com

DP8 Many of the downloads on macupdate.com are hosted by our download servers, but not all of them. Files hosted on our download servers require the referrer - files hosted on third party servers may or may not.
