Type: ReviewDate: 13 Mar 2008 18:37I am one that likes to plan out trips well in advance, and also revisit past trips, so this program caught my eye when I first saw it. I've been playing around with this for the past couple of days, and though fun and easy to use, there are a couple of things I think (though I am not a developer) the developers might want to consider.
Firstly, the map used in Knapsack looks awful when you zoom all the way in. I'd prefer them to use Google Maps instead (though there is a link that takes you to Google Maps), or something more detailed. There were multiple activities I pinned in Paris, and it's not possible to pick specific activities from the map without having to click the horde of pins multiple times until you find the activity you're looking for. It'd be nice if you could get in closer to specific areas (ala Google Maps) on the map so you can plan or access more specific memories. Also, since the pins ask you for longitudinal and latitudinal positions, it'd be swell if you could search for specific places (cities, restaurants, etc.) within Knapsack, instead of having to find the information somewhere else.
Secondly, I wish you could add photographs for each activity in the itinerary. It would also be nice if you could add multimedia to activities as well. For example, I have a short video I made of the Eiffel Tower lighting up and would love to be able to access it from the itinerary. This would help "re-live" old trips.
Those are the two major things that come to mind. I'll keep playing with it during the trial period, and then I'll decide whether to buy it or not.

Type: ReviewDate: 5 Mar 2008 20:31I really love this program and the developer is one of the best and most professional developers I have ever conferred with. I bought an earlier version in early 2007 and have since switched computers. I contacted Deep Prose asking for my old serial number so I could continue using the program on my new computer. Matt Shedlick, the developer, wrote me back with a NEW serial number for the program, which had since been upgraded, for no additional cost. What more can I say?
 keep up the great work!

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 5 Jan 2008 14:10LOVE the program so far. Though I am having some difficulty figuring out how to set it so that the program can send emails. I have a gmail account I want to use with the program, and am not sure what to put in for SMTP server and port. I've tried smtp.gmail.com and various port numbers I've seen used in online gmail tutorials. Any suggestions?
