DJSNICKLES  ok, this is weird. after trying to report a bug with sunrise's bug reporter, sunrise asked me many, many times to use confidential information in my keychain. i have no idea why it needs access to password info from my keychain for a bug report, nor why it asked so many times…makes you a little uneasy. i'm holding off on sunrise for now.

DJSNICKLES  this app is great for webdev. it has a couple bugs, and is missing some features, but it not a memory hog like safari and firefox.

bugs:

* random constant dialog box popping up that says "the file could not be found", or something to that effect

* occasional crashes

* window resizing is slow; i suspect because of the transparency toggle. i can live with it

* you have to press apple _shift_ + , to scale text larger

* typing "localhost:3000" into the url field searches google for "localhost:3000"; i have to type 'http://' everytime i want to go to a site. that's dumb. provide a toggle or something!

missing features:

* middle button click to open a new tab doesn't work, but apple click does

* tabs don't open in the background

* shiira can read safari's bookmarks without importing them; it would be nice if sunrise did the same

* right click on dock icon should include "new window" function

* right click adblock, like firefox?

* whitelist popup blocker (as in, allow localhost for webdev, and nobody else)

good points:

* small buttons and interface is awesome. keep with that!

* clicktoflash seems to work with sunrise as well. cool!

* fast! focuses on rendering html. i like it.

DJSNICKLES  this application is awesome; it does exactly what i needed!

it will be perfect with the following feature:

* change the window title from "playground" to reflect a page's head & title html tags.

this one is important!! i have to switch to another app, otherwise

suggestions:

* font or whole page scaling

* faster updating

* add py and css extension defaults

* some kind of time feedback to show the page has been or is in the process of updating (for slow scripts)

* window resize presets (800, 1024, etc.)

DJSNICKLES  it's awesome to have safaristand back. however, i have the following problems on my fresh snow leopard system:

- sidebar constantly shows up, despite the fact that it is disabled in safaristand preferences

- "open windows from last session" selection in history menu is greyed out

- the first two flash options are greyed out: "load plug-in manually" & "enable copy flv menu".

this last problem is unfortunate as the "click to play" flashblock was very useful, and i can't find the "action menu", which is where the "copy flv" command has moved.

DJSNICKLES  excellent app. properly displays a presentation of images and movies.

the only thing missing is the ken burns effect between images!

DJSNICKLES  little disappointed, app does not do what it claims to:

opened a folder of mixed jpg's and mov's for a presentation

app does not display a slideshow of the movies with the pictures, you have to open each separately
