DJCZ  I've never seen an installer behave like that, but the workaround did the trick..... silly me, for not taking an hour or so, to search the knowledgebase for a problem that shouldn't have occurred in the first place.

But, I do appreciate the response. Thank you!

DJCZ  There is a bug in the installer. If your account is Filevaulted, the installer squawks that it can't find a needed disk. It then sits there patiently waiting, but there is nothing you can do and it won't let you quit normally, so you need to force quit the installer application.

The error I'm seeing...

Please insert the "xyz" disc to continue installation.

You have chosen to install software that requires this disc.

SJK  Moving the installer package out of the FileVault volume is a workaround described in this Knowledgebase article.

SJK  I'd noticed that FileVault issue/workaround somewhere else a few hours earlier when installing the update, then was frustrated not to find it again after seeing your post. Fortunately it was an easy search for that KB article instead. :)

ILGAZ  If one uses Apple's standard installer, it is his job to "workaround" some issue (!) which is in fact the built in functionality of OS X since 10.3 or .4.

No need to apologize, they should care about such issues more than sneaking silverlight and remotely pulling images from MS servers in success screens.

DJCZ  Very Cool. A definite keeper. The Bloom effect is graphics intensive and makes it a bit choppy, but turn that option off and it's great. Although, I'd like to see the fly-throughs last a while longer.

iStat Menus

DJCZ  When you click on the date and time to see the pop-down calendar, the calendar updates properly, but the date above the calendar does not. Today is 09/22 and it's saying it is Monday, September 21, 2009.

As for menu indicators... for the disk activity, instead of "ACT", I'd like to see "DSK" added as an option. ACT could refer to disk activity, network activity or cpu activity.

Also, for the network activity, there are only icons that can be placed in the menu, a "NET" added to the list would be great.

Other than that, this little gadget is great. Kudos to iSlayer!

DJCZ  This is one of my favorite little ad-ons for OS X and it even works with 10.6. Well worth the 15 bucks.

DJCZ  It takes 2 clicks on the Quick Download button to get it to actually download a file. Also, it's a real time waster to have to click through all the individual pictures and having to click the download button for each one. It would be nice to be able to just download "ALL" files at one time, then go through all the files offline and delete the ones you do not want.

DJCZ  Works as it should. What really annoys me about Safari and I'm surprised Apple hasn't fixed this yet, but the option to automatically close the download window upon completion. It would be great if Safari 4 Buddy had this option.

CHIN  In difference to an encrypted image, Cryptomfs would encrypt every file for itself. You will not have all files within a single encrypted image file. This have advantages for e.g. backup purposes.

DJCZ  Wow, this is a really cool piece of software and it will come in quite handy!

The only problem I have found is, if you energize your screen saver and it locks the screen, you cannot return the cursor back to the controlling machine and you are forced to use the Emergency de-activate key sequence (Control-Option-Shift-Esc).

Other than that, it seems to work great.

This used to be one of the biggest "MUST HAVE" add-ons for ANY Mac system. It's Turly disappointing that compatibility has lagged so far behind.

DJCZ  The application won't work if you move it from it's default location in the Application's Folder. In my opinion, this is definitely a utility, not an application and should reside in the Utilities Folder. It would be nice to be able to change the default location during the install process.
