WebArchive Folderizer | Dec 16 2006 |
DAVIDLASKA I used to do this in classic with explorer archives, I finally found this, to bad safari cannot do a comprehensive web archive like explorer was doing long ago. Numerous options for the web-archive save feature and its ability to let you chose how many levels of links to archive and options for that too. (Version 1.2.5)

unRarX | Jul 12 2006 |
DAVIDLASKA This is a great application for extracting RAR files, warning to Mac users, there are times that you will run into a passworded rar file and once in a great while a error will returned. Before deleting your archive ( valuable archive) give it one more shot on a PC with the latest WinRar or even in VPC on a Mac. I like the feature where you can put in your password before loading the rar file. So I can double click a safari download from the download window rather than loading it from somewhere a few folders deep. This is one stable program to. It also works well in the backround even if you are hogging the CPU for your self. (Version 2.2)

DiskTracker X | Apr 5 2006 |
DAVIDLASKA I could keep track of floppies and even cd,s with some markups and labels but then came DVD,s plus I now accumulated more stuff in the computer and bigger drives. I lost control when I forgot where I began when I was at the end. I played with disktracker for years for other than its intent. cataloging and then speedy searches for duplicates, or for super fast searches when I had a PC disc to look for. They can have 5000 things in folder and the mac slows down when a action is taken. But now I have to use it for what it does or get two 500 gig external drives. It never has done any thing bad like data got deleted somehow or such. (Version 2.3.3)

DAVID ASKARI I have ran into PDF forms and such with were made for some changes but they don,t work right and contacting the government (author) is not practical. So this software allows you finish these defective PDF files. I don,t see why comments refer to the worse case about stealing peoples work. This software makes impossible bad PDF files fixable. (naturally you need a PDF editor to as mentioned by the author) (Version 1.2.2)

Audio Hijack Pro | Feb 24 2004 |
DAVIDLASKA 1-wiretap and audio hijack comparision is almost like apples and oranges. So if its not audio hijack, even getting the other for free is a waste. Most freestuff that you cannot use is a lot of work. 2-they got fast personal support as I know from another product. 3-realtime enables people like me who know nothing to use my ears to make the music sound great. 4-explorer crashes more than most applications 5-you cannot run ape from root properly (Version 1.2.6)

DAVID using version 3.2 since I am regestered. But I can,t get it to work at all in panther. I log in at root and tried a variety of install and uninstall combinations and no luck. I did email them but I guess I missed any replies (I assume). The promblem is that I keep getting a message that ape enhancer is not installed although the log and ape is installed. An interesting thing related to menus also is I can,t get system preferences to show recents aps and docs in root but only in non root logins. Any ideas? I did rate the product high when I was using it. This is not a rating, its a state of limbo. (Version 3.2.1)

DAVIDLASKA with so many files theses days, only disktracker (my simular app. but I don,t know) can cateloge all the files fast and you can sort them with the find or duplicate with many options. Other applications that don,t catologe but use other ways to orginize never make it through my volumes and giveup. (Version 2.3.1b2)

DAVIDLASKA I still use 5.5 went booted into os9 with extensions off, It saves "file counts" on my large drive which I don,t bother with duplicates exept when I,m bored. I use a disk tracker type for archive search (looking in the archive), very fast. I still extract exe. files in a pc environment. They must be the best, No other utility does what it does. Opera | Sep 15 2003 |
DAVIDLASKA You know those Java sights that don, t work on a Mac, With opera I managed to get some sights to function at an acceptable level where all other browsers can,t even touch. One sight was http://rahyab.cityof Tehran.Com (zoomable map). I give the link for investigation my review for yourself, I am not promoting the sight. Hint "when clicking on map and finished loading, cycle the zoom tool for image to appear. (Version 6.0b1)

VirtualKeyboard | Jul 18 2003 |
DAVIDLASKA its the next best thing to a wireless keyboard for computing from the couch. And the price is cheaper than a wirless. I know this is for the handicaped, but sometimes reaching for a keybaord disrupts my relaxed state or seems like a big deal. I used to use keystrokes until the price got so high that I dropped out. From zero to a few hundred dollars. A second moniter is a ideal setup. (Version 2.0)

DAVIDLASKA Very nice, also when I replaced my display, I did not put a tiny magnet near the sleep light back and now if will not sleep with closed lid. I can,t be sure if that the magnet caused this. So I might be wrong but other than the closed lid without sleep, nothing else seems affected. Although other problems are not caused by the magnet removal, I could be wrong but nothing has me investigating the magnet yet. I will put it back if a problem came up and I had to resort to putting everything back to stock. (Version 3.0B3)

MenuMeters | Apr 11 2003 |
DAVIDLASKA if i knew nothing of menu meters, I still could say an excellent placement which byitself put it above the others. So well designed i dont notice it untile i need it. I wanted a cpu moniter for years and dabled with all available till this came and the extras. it even survives by startup items purge frenzys. and the kicker is all the easy to use options and modes etc. Free is not why I use a cpu moniter. and beta, this is bug free (as a layman "bug free" me is not to be bugged by the product) (Version 0.7)

DAVIDLASKA this java stuff is something to figure out, in between 0x and classic and 9.22 alone and emulation pc I get various pages to load. Strictly trial and error. Now add the combination of browser that handle java pages in there own way. Heres a example, I could only load a page with opera booted into..... Or turho tax online only with netscape 4.x- some version of 4.x. I cant keep up and Vb is out of the question (Version 1.3.1)
